The Search” by John Battelle The three elements that described by John Battelle in his book “the search”, that make up any websearch system include, publisher, marketer, and audience ( Harris 27). The elements that the Google’s founders inventions drastically changed are, participation, leveraging content and creation of value and advantage.Page rank refers to a system of ranking the existing web pages which were developed by Google founders. Page rank continues to play a major role in web searching tools.

It is a system that depends on the unique democratic nature of google web by utilizing the wide link structures which form the basis of the page value. The system interprets a link from one page say A, to another page B as a vote by the former. The system realizes that votes put or cast by pages that are important carry more significancy thus helping determining the usefulness of the other pages. The original way of ranking website using page rank is a valid complaint. This is because google it failed to fully explain how the system could be seen or viewed.

Web page ranking has made certain interesting changes to website construction all over the world. Google is of late is noting that page rank is vital but it is not the only factor in page ranking. It is good since most people have fixated themselves on the page rank for a long time. Page rank is also one of the factors for ranking of pages. Searchers usually do not see the ranking but behind the operation scene, it helps in the determination whether the page will appear top search or not.

The page ranking has also made the searches on the websites or search engines easier. Another good thing about page rank is that it improves more as the web grows bigger, this is because every new search is an added information and consequently another vote counted for the web. Thus the page rank has changed the construction of the website for the better. Google founders made money and expanded their venture in web based business without having a business plan nor the resources. This was successful because the type of business they were venturing into being an innovation by the founders thus lacked competition.

This created a monopolistic market where they controlled every aspect of the market thus realizing as much as they could. They had no revenue since they were college students but they had strongly believed in the success of the project they were coming up with. The founders took a huge risk and in business, the higher the risk, the higher the return which in this case is justified. The founders were innovative enough to turn their ideas into the revenue generating company.. Innovation is a social procedure that calls for collaboration of ideas into growth that can be funded without the use of business plans.

The founders shaped their ideas into products then launched them for sale.The investment was a success and the company. The fact that eBay and Microsoft are fearing that google might even surpass them is enough indication of the growth of the company into a reputable one. My opinion on this type of investment is that it is the best since success is guaranteed. The likelihood of getting competition is zero thus giving an investor good opportunity to make money. The parallel investment seeks to invest big to help them in realizing return on investment.
