Consumers also need to get approval from the authorities showing how efficient the products may be and assuring its natives of secure commodities. The consumer attitude towards this foods results to the need for the government to protect its citizens from harmful products that may endanger their lives. Therefore, there is a need for proper marketing tactics that are convincing to consumers and hence will improve the market awareness about their products. This can also be boosted by giving details of the contend levels of products to enhance healthful consumption of such commodities. Though claims have emerged that the genetically modified foods are harmful, it has also been of great impact to the country's economy. These foods expose organisms to risks of diseases, such as cancer, and make organisms develop resistance to diseases and reduction on the effectiveness of drugs on the organism’s body. Some of the gene modifications alter the useful characteristics making organisms loose the most desirable ones. Humans’ exposure to developing hyperactive reactions on certain foods and their bodies over react due to allergies on such foods. Some of the foreign genes too affect human health and normal body functioning. Regarding the costs of genetically modified foods, they are affordable to all individuals. The expense of producing such foods is low since they do not require any pesticides and they can withstand drought therefore, this assures farmers of produce. The genetically modified foods also yield twice the original breeds, and hence this helps increase the outputs giving the farmers reasonable profits for the satisfaction of their basic needs and improving the states economy through the high per capita income (Wesley, Spital, and Lane 2002, p.5). Within the global markets, some states have embraced genetically modified foods while others have established policies prohibiting their citizens to consume such foods. The states against the use of GMOs claim to be protecting its citizens and environment from the negative effects of the genes modifications on organisms. The states that have adopted the use of GMOs have progressed economically due to the emergence of manufacturing industries that promote the economy of the country (Wesley, Spital, and Lane 2002, p.4). The production of these foods in the global market has reduced hunger strikes and the number of malnutrition deaths in the globe. These foods have enabled the productivity of individuals and have increased the life expectancy. In conclusion, the invention of genetically modified products has been of much help to both human individuals and the economy of the entire globe. They have increased the human productivity and enhanced improvement of living conditions through the increased incomes from trading genetically modified foods. These foods have improved the human expectancy period and solved most of the world’s hunger problems. However, these foods also have side effects and their consumers experience such risks as more exposure to developing cancer and resistance to drugs. This makes it difficult to cure some of the disease attacks on organisms. It also puts the environment at risk and makes states waste resources on research to modify the genes of organisms.
