For example, if the import duty imposed on the deodorant is high, this means they will be charged at high prices hence their demand will below. On the other hand, if the custom tax charged on them is low, it means that they will be charged less in the market hence they demand will be high thereby increase the sales. 1On the other hand, economic factors greatly influence the deodorant market in that during inflation deodorants are charged more in the market hence they become unpopular to the consumers.

At this time, the purchasing power of the consumers is greatly affected and the only money they have, they spend it to buy necessities and not things like deodorants. This, in turn, affects the deodorant sales. 2Unemployment is another factor that affects the deodorant market. The whole world today is greatly affected by unemployment and there as so many young energetic people in the world that ought to be working and there are no employment opportunities for them. In this case, they are not salaried; hence they have nothing to spend to buy anything like cosmetics.

Due to this, the sales of deodorants go down since those people who ought to be buying these deodorants have no purchasing power at all. 3The deodorant market is also affected by socio-cultural environmental factors that greatly affect their demand in the market. Deodorants are popular in some culture that in others and for this case, it affects their market. Deodorants are popular especially to Muslim communities than in other communities hence there is more demand for deodorant in the Muslim community.

In this case, due to the unpredictability of the economy in the world today, it means that today the prices will be down, and tomorrow, they will be up. Due to this unpredictability on deodorant, their sales are greatly affected. Demographical factors usually affect the deodorant market. Mostly those who use deodorants are the youth especially the ladies. In this case, if in a certain population, there are more youths especially the ladies, it means there will be more demand for deodorants in that market.

On the other hand, if in a certain population, there are more elderly people, it means that deodorants are not popular in that market. Due to this reason, their sales are greatly affected since the demand for them will be very low. We can conclude that external environmental factors greatly influence the deodorant market as they influence their demand in a certain market.
