In production and delivering of the same, the operations management has put in place the input, the transformation and finally the output processes (Michael and Nigel 2003). According to Nigel (2009) the three essential processes that are used by the C20s fires company are also known as ITO. According to C20fireplaces (2011) all the operations within a company are known as transformation processes and those within C20 fire company are not an exception s company. The operations are also responsible for management of inventory, capacity and the demand by the customers. The manner in which the company handles its inventory, capacity and demand of the customers in such a manner that is positive for the daily operations of the company. In the reproduction process which also have the input, the transformation and the output processes. The processes ensure that the demands of the customers are met. In the reproduction of fireplace mantels and inserts, the company allows its clients to select from a wide range of fireplace inserts which are a selection from Victorian wide range of collections. The fireplace then goes through a transformation processes whereby they are fitted inside a wooden or stone mantel. The final process which is the output finally has the fireplace being inserted in a manner that is slightly bigger than the surrounding opening to increase efficiency. In the output, the fireplace can also come out as having three steel fillets which are fitted in the frames that are three sides thus making the inserts to fit well in the mantel openings which are quite larger in size (Michael and Nigel 2003). In the reproduction of the chimneypieces, mantels or fire surrounds, the company follows the aforementioned three processes in order to meet the requirements of their clients. In the input process, there is insertion of mantel frame or the fire surrounds. The transformation involves the selection of various styles and décor with any aim of suiting not only the preference of the clients but also their taste (Michael and Nigel 2003). The final processes is the output stage which the reproduced product satisfies the needs of the clients. In the manufacture of combination fireplaces, the company came up with Victorian times which were a complete fireplace or combination. In the input process, there was the use of cast iron which was used as a fireplace insert, fireback or fire surround, front bars, flute plate which are all combined into a single fireplace unit. The transformation process ensures that the products are easy to fit and clients can cheaply afford them as compared to other existing alternatives such as a mantel which is inserted separately (Michael and Nigel 2003). In the reproduction, the company also manufactures hob grates, fireplace fascias and fire baskets. In the manufacture of fireplace fascias flat cast iron plates which portray traditional Victorian elements are used as input materials. The transformation process involves modeling of the same in line with the Edwardian styling of the fireplace. The fireplace fascias are further styled in such a manner that modern glass fires can fit easily (Michael and Nigel 2003). Another reproduced product is the hob grates in which the cast iron is used as the input material. The transformation process includes incorporating features of the early Victorian and Georgia homes (Nigel 2009). The company also produces modern hob grates in which steel are used as the input material. This makes the output process to produce a product that cannot be used for solid fire fuel due to the fact that they can easily discolor. Nonetheless, the end product is made in such a manner that there is availability of living flame gas fires but have log or coal effects (Michael and Nigel 2003). The input process in a number of companies comprise of a mixture of both services and goods. Nonetheless, in a number of cases the aforementioned elements are combined. However, the transformation process comprises of not only the output process but also the input process of a company and C20’s is not an exception. These are put into place with n aim of making to realize its goals and operate effectively in meeting the demands of the customers (Michael and Nigel 2003). The company also ensures that the demands of the customers by ensuring that in transformation process of the C2O Company, the fireplaces products require steel and bricks as the input products. For the purpose of manufacturing fireplace accessories and fulfilling the needs of the customers, input products such as fuel, glass, wood and tiles are used by the company for the purpose of the same (C20fireplaces 2011). Nonetheless, during the transformation stage, the company needs a number of resources to assist in the process of attaining the output so that the final product meets the needs of the customers in addition to being modern and up to the international standards (C20fireplaces 2011). Additionally, the output process also involves the sales or the financial status of the company. The resources that are required to drive the output process so that it is of great success include various types of human resources who are likely to assist with making the sales and profit realized by the company in any given financial year to be high (C20fireplaces 2011). In this regard, the designers of the fireplaces and their accessories have the responsibility of ensuring that the manufactured products are not only attractive but also of high quality. This is essential as the company will be in a position to compete favorably with other companies in the same line of production in addition to attracting a wide customer base. Moreover, the company has a modern and efficient IT network that makes the communication and advertising personnel to be in a position to advertise and also communicate with the existing and target customers through the company’s well developed website. This is essential as customers are in a position to get access to information pertaining to the products and services offered by the company (C20fireplaces 2011). In addition to that they are in a position to access the needed information regarding the stores that sells the fireplaces and their accessories produced by C20 Fires Ltd. In addition to that process of delivery is efficient and customers are in a position to receive both the products and services on time as the company has efficient and reliable staff. Therefore, all the aforementioned resources are essential in the transformation process of the C20 Company as they contribute towards making the operations of the company as a whole to be successful (Nigel 2009). The demands of the customers are controlled and managed from the main fireplace. The main fireplace processes entails employers reporting to the management of the company in addition to reviewing the orders that are placed by the customers which can either be new fireplaces or for the purpose of repair. Additionally, the workers are responsible for the preparation of the bricks by testing the materials to ensure that they are of good quality before loading the soil to the barrel. Full moulds are then made before raw bricks are manufactured before being taken into the kiln for them to dry. The bricks are then left to dry for a day or two. In addition to that, the employees are responsible for checking the customers’ order, moving the bricks for storage purposes in readiness for delivery (C20fireplaces 2011) Advertising strategy as operational management concept According to Donald (2006), operation strategy is the decision patterns which are responsible for shaping the long term capabilities of any kind of operations in addition to operation types and their contribution to the strategy as a whole. This achieved by the management of the company reconciling the existing market requirements using the operation resources such as human resource. Operations strategy is essential for a company as it determines the success or failure of a company. These factors include how low or high products dependability, delivery speed, products quality, products costs are to the existing ad targeted customers. The company ensure that the factors are in correlated so that the demands of the customers are successful met without any delay (C20fireplaces 2011). The company not only concentrates on making of products and services but also on the delivery of the same, C20 have observed various processes which serves as operation strategy for the company. Moreover, the company has a number of departments such as designing, analyzing, manufacturing and delivery which contributes to its successful operation. This enables it to be in a position to meet the demands of its customers. Each of the departments has their job specifications clearly outlined. Additionally, there is good communication channels that enable the company to reach all its employees and avoid conflict of interest. The goal of the C20 is to deliver or supply quality products to the clients and the aforementioned processes like manufacturing, designing, analyzing and deliver are the driving forces for the successful operation of the company. Furthermore, the processes are essential in defining the strategy of the company hence the higher the effectiveness of the processes, the higher the profitability and productivity of the company (David and Mark 2007). The main processes of the C20 company starts from advertising and showcasing the manufactured products before selling them. Moreover, the company has a number of show rooms within the company which are used for display purposes. This enables the customers to have a clear picture of the products produced by the company. The company has also made use of internet an aspect that has resulted into great sales (C20fireplaces 2011).in its advertising strategies, the company has made use of internet not only to provide information about their products but also educate them on how to use the same. It is also through the internet that the orders of the customers are taken and in some cases customized in accordance with their specifications. In conclusion it is recommendable that the company makes use of internet to advertise their products in order to realize great profits. As one of its operational strategy, C20 should also make use of internet as an advertising media (C20fireplaces 2011).
