In today’s economy challenging opportunities are presented as well as dramatic uncertainty. The new economy has become performance-driven, and knowledge-based whereby, empowerment, respect, participation, teamwork and self-management in an organization are critically analysed (Ejere 2010, pp. 177-192). Managing signifies being in charge of something and responsible for its smooth running, and rational conduct, controlling and handling every aspect of the organization, and its employees (Marescauz & De Winne 2013).

Additionally, management is the process of coordinating, communicating, and accomplishing action in the pursuit of organizational objectives while managing relationships with the stakeholders, employees, people, technologies, and other artefacts, both within, external, and between organizations(Cannings & Hills, 2012, pp. 140). This paper gives an extensive review of the literature to give a report managing people and organizations. 1.1 Purpose of the report This paper critically analyses the key theoretical approaches to the management of people and organizations with detailed discussion and reference to the culture, conflicts, and structure of the organization.
