Frequently, power struggles arise when there is a growing sense of dissatisfaction among the employees in the manner in which their bosses are leading them (Hallberg 332). However, in some instances, it is purely out of acts of self-seeking and egoism that some senior employees develop in a bid to revolt against their bosses whenever they are given instructions. Power struggles are one of the primary factors that cause underperformance in organizations as employees are involved in a lot of in-house conflicts that distract them from accomplishing their main objectives thus leading to the underperformance of the firm (Hallberg 332). The company has a clearly defined hierarchy of power from the organization’s chairman and CEO all the way down to the standard employees. The structure is so elaborate that at each level of organization there are officers that are put in charge of dissemination information to the rest or rather an instruction and supervising on how organizational duties should be conducted.
