Speaker s Slide one: Introduction Leadership combines personal skills and other environmental requirements. The common traits among all leaders are their ability to influence the surrounding positively. Management is all about administrative criteria in that they outline guidelines, which needs to be followed by other members of a given organization. The levels of management would be based on lifetime experience while leadership is all about wisdom and the impact. Leadership can be experienced within a person, groups, and organization. Each level is essential while pursuing goals. In matters project management, the traits are experienced in different levels. These traits are essential as they ensure coordination between different levels of a given project hence enhancing strategic planning Slide two: behavioral excellence A manager is evaluated based on his or her behavioral intelligent. Leadership skills are put to test while evaluating this process. The manager need to portray elements of leadership while at the same time learn from existing cultures within a given institution. Cultural values are integral and hence would determine the level of excellence attained by a leader. Project management requires behavioral excellence as it is essential in ensuring cultural interaction and successful development of project. The ability to connect cultures and design models is essential in ensuring a strategic plan in project management. Leadership plays a role in determining factors that would enhance performance. Slide three: Management role in project implementation Different types of leaders would determine project management. Initiators are those leaders who are interest in innovation they encourage the environment towards achieving certain goals within an institution. Consensus takers are those leaders that tend to work on opinions base on tyranny of numbers. Clarifies would use specific models and enhance their influence towards a given group of people. A project manager should portray information seeking trait in that he or should focus on available data to plans for their action while at the same time use feedbacks from a given environment to perfect on a given plan. This should ensure that existing plans are perfect upon through revision and recommendations. Slide four: Integrated project management Managers aim at testing social intelligence tin integrated project management by showing their interpersonal skills. The nature in which senior management interpret the internal environments essential in creating models .these models enhance the manner in which people interact within an institution. Cultural values guides people on how to perform a given project without compromising the integrity of a given firm. Managers should deploy the system management approach, which enhances the manner in which leaders interact with both the external and internal environments. The system approach should enhance the nature in which leaders enhances emotional intelligence. Slide five: Organizational performance excellence The components of performance excellence depend majorly on the manner in which leaders perform their roles. There should be models within the leadership system that united the internal environment. The leadership style within a given firm will determine the level of interaction between the management and staffs. Communication is an important element while ensuring interaction. Communication within a system approach model should be aimed at ensuring motivation towards a given project. Motivation is a factor, as it will enable the management to eliminate the element of resistance while undertaking a given project. The time taken to complete a given project is essential and thus motivation to the internal environment should focus in ensuring maximum utilization of the available capacity Slide six: communication Communication is an integral part in ensuring a smooth operation. The managers should develop a habit of ensuring employees are engaged in different activities. The management structure should be simple to ensure communication across the management and below the ranks. While resolving conflict, communication is important since through this, the management may identify those conflicts of interact and outline the roles to be played by different parts of the firm. The external environment is essential in ensuring a smooth operation within a firm. The environment provides the market for a given god or service while at the same time supplies the firm with the needed materials needed to advance a project. Slide seven: Model implementation Roles within a firm are identified thus assigned to individual and groups. Individual’s roles are guided by ethics and other regulations put across by a given firm. Individual combines their skills to form a team, which essentially enhances the output of a given organization. Team roles entail collective responsibility and combined efforts. The impact of the team effort would outline the importance of a given organization and identify its strengths and weakness. The origination should source materials and incentives needed to enhance a given project. Identification will mean that each individual is recognized based on his or her abilities within a team or organization setting. Slide eight: Rewarding staff and external interactions Upon recognition the manager should deploy models that will ensure those successful individual are rewarded. Loyalty is a key factor while rewarding certain individuals. Team efforts essential in identify specific efforts from individuals. Rewarding hardworking staffs will enhance the relationship between the management and the support staff. Other criterions used while reading include; performance individually and as a team, personal achievements, influence to the external market and benefits of an individual has towards a firm. Slide nine: Ethical conduct A person is guide by specific guidelines. In organizational setting individuals are required to perform based on a given set of standards. Codes of ethics are set by a given institution to guide its staff from engaging in unlawfully activities or unfairly interacting with the external environments. An individual is guided by culture and draws his morals from these cultures. Ethical codes of conducts are meant to guide individuals towards improved performance. Those who adhere to these regulations are rewarded while those who fail to follow the guidelines are subject to punishment. Slide ten: Diversifying to enhance quality performance Contemporary leadership entails sourcing informational from various outlets. Managers should embrace diversity. This include an integral model, this model should sourced from other relate system s as to enhance performance. Thos managers who tend to encourage innovation would benefit from improved performance and staff confidence. Decision-making is a process and mangers should formulate models that enhances performance and encourages staff participation. The involvement of employees in a decision making process would reduce the chances of conflict. Project implementation is a process that requires various stages. These stages are important and hence need to be followed. The inclusiveness of staff in making decision will reduce the time taken to implement a given project since the embryonic stage of any given project would be reduced. Slide eleven: Success assessment For a project to be considered successful, an assessment needs to be carried out to ensure each level of a given project is accounted for. The senior management should be in a position to account for projects undertaken in every level. The magnitude of the project should be used as a success criteria in that the available resources should be managed to enhance performance. The management should keep in mind the possibilities of a conflict. The manner in which the conflict is resolved without project interference will be used as a success evaluation tool. Project variables should be considered while evaluating success. Slide twelve: Assessment criteria Assessment is necessary while enhancing performance. However, this process one is able to promote individuals based on performance. A manger should develop a system that enhances values and promotes cohesiveness among employees. The criteria would be aiming at establishing weaknesses within a given structure and amending them to as to enhance performance for the next model. The most effective means of evaluating performance would be the cross-cultural approach where the managers deploy diverse models that would enhance performance. Through these tools, managers would be able to plan for suture structure using the knowledge acquired from the assessment process.
