One of the striking features of the gaming industry is that it has attracted many people to join the industry which has reduced the workforce for the other industries in the country such as the hospitality industry. There are many features that attract people to move to the gaming industry and leave jobs in other sectors. Hospitality is a booming industry in the country and the rapid fall in its labor forces considerably harming its working capacity in the current times. Features like higher pay, remuneration and added perks and facilities attract people from far off areas as well as in the nearer places to join the gaming casinos for their livelihood.

Macau has enjoyed the prosperity with the infiltration of the gaming industry. But the challenge with it has imposed a robust challenge to the human resource management. In fact, the hospitality industry has experienced high turnover rate affecting the quality of service and long-term sustainability. The underlying mechanism of labor turnover ratio with the hospitality industry is to be thoroughly relaxed.The following section will aim at understanding the different conditions prevailing in the hospitality sector of Macau.

It will highlight the structure of the hotel industry in Macau and the rise of the gaming industry there. It would also explain how the gaming industry has become an important economic and social savior for the nation. But on the other hand, the section would explain the factors why the people both within and outside get lured to the gaming industry thus reducing the labor supply to other sectors such as the hotel industry which is one of the emergency sectors of the economy.
