The future of healthcare in the United s Major challenges are expected in the United States health sector in the coming years. Even though sophisticated medical technology can be found in the country, more technological development is being realized every time. Because medical nanotechnology has been added to the existing knowledge of biology, it is obvious that more rapid diagnostic techniques will emerge in the coming days (Mandl & Kohane, 2012). Also, new treatments that appear to be more personalized and those that enhance regeneration of the organism will develop.

Hospital administrators play the role of ensuring that hospitals operate efficiently and offer quality health services to every person. The administrators have to keep up with advances technology by updating their skills in technology to offer guidance on the use of these technologies (Mandl & Kohane, 2012).In the next decade, the proportion of America senior citizens will increase. The average life expectancy in the US has risen from 47 years in 1900 to about 79 years, and it is estimated that it will be around 84 in 2050 (Schiller et al., 2012). Death rates are gradually reducing as the life expectancy of the people goes up.

The changing trend will compel health care administrators to increase funds for the long-term care and develop substitutes for nursing homes. The rise in the number of older patients from the Boomer generation and the loss of providers is a significant challenge to the health care system in the country (Schiller et al., 2012). Administrators have to ensure that they set aside enough resources to guarantee that the aged patients receive the much-needed medical services. Improved funding will ensure that the old generation receives the best medical services.
