In contrast, AIC systems total volume is lower than Taiwanese rivals elite group Company systems, MSI, and ASUS. However, the companies’ relentless effort on the management of costs enables it to scale high as it labels as a competitive source. Consequently, by the year 2000, AIC structures had evolved into original design manufacturers (ODM). Based on ODM, the company took a vigorous role by innovating and developing new generation components.

Additionally, the company participated in house design and development work, which advanced its operations to foster more exclusively establishing long-term relationships with its customers across the planet. In the year, 2007, AIC embarked on a new strategy, diversifying its products portfolio with the inclusion of consumer electronics focusing on mobile technology. Based on the development of technology and AIC company advancement, most hardware has become a commodity with mobile technology taking several forms including ultra-portable laptops called netbooks, mobile phone Laden that have variable arrays and traditional laptops(Wheelwright & Yong 2).

Problem Statement The assembly line of QuiN design required refinement, and this made initial orders unpredictable. Wheelwright & Yong (4) argue that the development of full-scale production of the QuiN 816 was frantic. Moreover, the promotion of the QuiN netbook generated significant publicity as it created an unexpected spike in the production demands. This created lumpy orders of the QuiN netbook and later developed the little need and received an unexpected order for numerous thousand units within a short notice.

However, the solution needs to focus on getting a new assembly line that is operational. Additionally, QuiN 816 needs to review its operations and identify ways of improving the productivity of the existing capacity. Analysis (Quantitate) Chen focused on assembling line process for QuiN 816 network. Moreover, by working closely with process engineer Lapin, the two designed a 16-meter assembly line that staffed 10 operators. The engineers developed a four-line set-up, designed to operate each line in producing 700 networks per nine-hour shift. AIC Inc. The company needs to have enough capacity to meet peak monthly demand.

The marketing team projected volume needs with flexible designs of the line that adjust to the market forces to develop products and specifications. Analysis (Qualitative)Recommended Solution to the Situation AIC Inc. The company dedicates time for incoming materials with outsourced subcomponents for QuiN that directs on the production floor. Moreover, the development of four assembly lines ensured each line has an adequate supply of 16-meter conveyors. In terms of competition, AIC Company needs to build momentum as a new player in the market.

This increases their quality in terms of product value, which develops consistently. Moreover, this will increase demand for AIC for over 130,000 units in a month. The Pros and Cons of the Solution The advantage of the solution is that products that are more AIC will be sold beating its competitors while the disadvantage is that it will increase its cost value in the production of products. Statement Implementation Issue AIC company needs to develop and implementation details after the review of QuiN 816 operations and improve the productivity of the existing capacity.

Conclusion AIC company deals with products that are tough within a competitive environment. The pressure to maintain output levels needs leading quick fixes in the market with a permanent solution to the problems experienced. This increases the company’s sales volumes making it the best company in assembling lines, as it becomes the best company in the world.
