Some of the concepts that the organization use are SWOT and PEST while the theories were, Porter’s theory, reengineering theory and portfolio theory. The managers used the concepts and theories to come up with the management strategies. The analysis tools used were the inputs and outputs, core processes, flows and physical layout (Menon, 2007). The tools measure the organization operations, that is, if there is any improvement or not. There are also key operations tools that managers use to analyze and understand their operations so that they can improve their operations.

There are four tools that are used by the manager to analyze the operation. They include, customer care, Kaizan, Total Quality Management and Just-in-Time. Hence, the tools guide the managers on carrying out their activities. There are many issues emerging on the operations management. Therefore after the analysis I decided to choose the Information system strategy that would improve communication between the various departments. McDonalds is the world’s biggest chain of fast food, Hamburger Food Restaurants, which serves approximately 68 million customers in 119 countries daily across 35, 000 routes.

Its headquarters is in United States. The company got started in 1940, and it was as a barbecue restaurant that Maurice McDonald and Richard operated it. It was recognized as a hamburger in 1948 using principles of production line (Mcdonald, 2014). The restaurant is operated by either an affiliate or franchise or a corporation. Its revenue come from royalties, rent and franchisees fees, and the company-operated restaurants sales. In 2012, it had revenue of about $27.5 billion and $5.5billion profits.

McDonalds sell cheeseburgers, hamburgers, French fries, chicken, desserts, breakfast items, milkshakes and soft drinks primarily. The company expanded its menu in response to consumer taste changes and started to offer fish, salads, smoothies, wraps, seasoned
