Managers and employees are the core factors who ought to ensure that making progressions in organizations has less effect on the financial status of the company. Change and motivational techniques used are of importance due to diverse reasons. For one, application of motivational techniques when imparting change helps reduce employee rejection to change. Secondly, it increases employee morale of help when raising the economic condition of the organization. This essay principally has concern on the motivational techniques that managers apply when introducing change to their employees (Intuition Learning and Development). Herein is the importances of applying motivational techniques to the employees as well as to the organization. Further, the essay brings to light the impact of change to particular individuals. Finally, the essay introduces the best means of improving motivational techniques to impede negative results when aspiring to introduce change. Motivational methods applied by managers Motivation refers to the desire of individuals to enable others be able to perform tasks in an expert manner. Downsizing departments refer to the task undertaken by managers to reduce the number of employees within various departments. The act of downsizing department has negative results on employees. First, it reduces employee morale since those left work under pressure, as they lack knowledge about who is the next individual to leave the department (Intuition Learning and Development). Secondly, it leads to poor quality of output due to decreased morale when performing assigned tasks. The positive outcome of managerial development depends on the ability of managers to apply the best techniques of motivation. Kusluvan 340 asserts that motivation is the source of both poor and improved employee performance. Intuition, Learning and Development denotes the three major motivational techniques of use by managers. a. A respectful way of treating employees The manner in which managers treat their subordinates are of great significance to the overall performance of employees. Managers should treat their employees as individuals with dignity and aspire to establish the best ways of enhancing employee performance. There are ways managers ought to take in when desiring to treat employees well. To begin with, managers should know what best motivates employees (Intuition Learning and Development). Having favorable knowledge about employee motivation needs results in less resistance when enacting changes within the organization. Managers have a mandate of scrutinizing employees in their departments. They (managers) should offer enough assistance to employees when in need. Secondly, managers have to involve workers in the process of making organizational decisions. Making decisions with the subordinate staffs is crucial, as it helps make viable decisions hindering employees from underestimating specific objectives. In addition, managers have to give praise to employees who are performing in regards to the expected targets (Intuition Learning and Development). Employees accomplishing organizational objectives by reaching the targeted edge are worth praise. b. Develop employees through training sessions Learning is essential when enquiring to create more opportunities to employees and employers. Acquired knowledge helps employees and employers have a better perception pertaining to the changes about to be in the firms. The area's individuals within the organization have to acquire knowledge about include job transfers, job training programs, and intrinsic motivational schemes. Employees need to obtain facts regarding the essence of acquiring knowledge through gaining innovative proficiency. Gaining more knowledge about modern tactics of performing duties helps in improving the quality of work done, which is fundamental in raising the sales of the organization. It helps reduce incapability of workers to perform as expected, an aspect leading to increased quality production (Hiam 4). c. Making the environment to be a jovial place of work The best technique of motivating employees is by making sure that the environment is lively. There are several ways of ensuring the environment is conducive for the labor force. For one, managers may surprise employees by sharing with them business and non-business information. Such information is necessary for enlarging the thinking capacity of employees. Secondly, managers may in several occasions purchase birthday gifts for celebrating employees (Intuition Learning and Development). Moreover, it is also vital to request the employees give their personal point of view regarding the best method of enhancing the relations within the workplace. Therefore, it is of worth indicating that a jovial working area sets up grounds for peaceful relationships, which assist in undertaking directives as required. Importance of motivational methods Adoption of motivational techniques is essential in developing the association in various ways. For instance, the techniques that managers apply determine the ability of employees to either resist or accept the changes. Secondly, applied the technique illustrates the motive of the manager regarding the relationship status existing between different individuals. In addition, application of motivational techniques helps establish advanced modes of carrying out tasks, an essential aspect in the progress of the organization. According to Hiam (5), motivated employees portray behaviors that are of health of the organization. Motivated workforce through positive incentives executes tasks better than how employees lacking a motivational mechanism perform. Fewer managerial levels are significant in that they lessen the impact of tedious. The reason for reduced wearisome tasks is that supervisory work becomes easier, as the less the number of individuals to direct, the higher their (workers’) level of output. Supervision makes it possible for definite individuals to meet the set targets. Moreover, it is of importance to ensure that employees gain enough knowledge concerning the objectives of the organization to avoid ill performance (especially when employees perform to meet their personal goals rather than company goals). Managers should set enhanced enticement systems purposely to motivate employees (Kusluvan 341). Theoretical concepts of motivation Understanding techniques of motivation is a basic necessity to particular individuals. Armstrong affirms that there are a number of theories managers and specific personnel ought to acquire knowledge. First, there is the Content Theory by Maslow, which encompasses the needs of different individuals. Using the content theory helps managers denote areas of employee concerns and then sets out ways to meet employee needs through viable motivational rewards. Instrumentality Theory by Taylor, which stipulates that individuals should address needs as they anticipate for the economic conditions of the organization. The strength of workers to perform as per the outlined targets comes in through the activities of their directors. Therefore, it is worth noting that managers’ motive to sketch out guidelines to their subordinates establishes workers’ self-esteem to accomplish all duties. Summary Changes in the organization are of great importance to the wellbeing of the organization. Managers are at the forefront in times of enacting change at the places of work. This is evident when Hiam (4) illustrates that managers have to examine the employee momentum by ensuring there are viable ways of performing duties. The managers need to adopt the best techniques to ensure that enacted changes have less effect on employee performance. The economic stability of industries is best when managers together with the subordinates are working towards meeting the set targets.
