This job opportunity is especially appealing as my skills, knowledge and experience closely match those outlined in the advertisement. I believe that my design, project development and management experience on projects exceeding your set criteria of over £500,000 makes me a strong candidate for this position.
The skills that I have gained in time management, risk assessments, analysis of complex data, drawing conclusions, preparing reports and building effective internal and external relationships would also be of value to your organisation. Additionally, my educational qualifications; and my knowledge in contractual issues, CDM regulations, health and safety issues in multiple environments including railway, make me a very competitive candidate for this position. Furthermore, having obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with the Master of Science in Project Management in view as well as my membership in two prominent institutions – CIHT and ICE, augurs well for the position. My strengths include and are not limited to:
Successful design, supervision/management and implementation of projects with various organisations;
Negotiating contracts
Liaising with and establishing effective working relations with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
Excellent team management skills; and
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with people from varied backgrounds
