They are designed to meet the needs and requirements of the customers through well planned strategy. The mission statement is explicit in its description of the way a business operates currently and vision statement defines its long term directions. The mission and vision statements of Apple Inc. are as follows (ar, 2012).
Mission statement
The company meets the customers’ digital needs by designing and developing innovative products in the area of mobile communication, computers, accessories, including software, services and networking solutions.
Its products and services include iPhone, iPad, Mac, iCloud, etc and delivers digital contents through iTunes, iStore etc. that meet the changing preferences of customers at competitive prices.
The company constantly innovates and manufactures products to address the communication need of its small and corporate clients like education sector, enterprises and government customers.
Through strategic planning and state of the art research and development, it continuously strives to redefine communication, including future of mobile devices and computing devices.
Company is committed to diversity
Vision statement
The company is committed to bringing the best user experience to its customers through its innovative hardware, software, peripherals and services in the area of technology and digital communication. The vision statement gives direction to the firm and serves as motivation for the workforce to develop collective goals and achieve them through shared learning and participatory approach.
