Extract of sample "Fundamental Aspects of Success"

Sticking to the goals is one of the fundamental aspects of success. Indeed, we live and work for a purpose of achieving our targets. As such, keeping one's focus is a responsibility that should remain supreme. For example, I had always wanted to score top grades in my studies though initially, I was not good at classwork and discussions. I faced many challenges including financial constraints, low self-esteem, difficulties in learning, peer pressure, and lack of moral support. However, I kept the focus by initiating personal engagements with my tutors, visiting the library, increasing my input in discussions, and attending all lectures. I made a personal commitment to take my studies seriously with an aim of attaining high marks. As a result, my grades are now on an upward trend. Most importantly, I had to maintain consistency in my quest to attain my targets. Therefore, I made my commitment to education a norm and habit that I followed at all times. Had I not been constant, I would have fallen out and would hence not achieve my purpose. There are benefits of using this point in that it teaches me the need to establish a target and work towards it. Having a purpose in life allows one to concentrate their efforts on something of interest to them and hence high chances of success. Additionally, the point teaches me the need to observe the consistency in seeking to achieve one’s goals. Indeed, without consistency, one's concentration on the set goals would vary thus affecting the probability of succeeding. Furthermore, one cannot claim to have focused when he is doing his things haphazardly with no uniformity. Actually, the use of this point helps in understanding that consistency leads to the adoption of a code of conduct and a code of ethics that facilitate the realization of goals, minimizes mistakes and variations. In fact, it is the focus to the set goals and consistency in working towards them that ensures Total Quality Management.

The other point is building quality into your products and measuring quality using statistical tools. Devote more time to reducing variation in your output rather than inspecting your output for defects (Cohen Web). This is quite relevant because it reduces variations and creates an identity of one's products. Indeed, prevention of a variation is less expensive than addressing a default after the occurrence. This point is beneficial in that it allows one to ensure that he produces high-quality products consistently to gain a competitive advantage. More so, using the statistical tools to measure quality is more significant as these tools are more accurate, certain, and therefore reflect the true level of quality of a product. The knowledge on the need to take time in preventing and reducing defects or variations is important as this guarantees the production of goods with the same quality. Personally, I have had this experience in school where I had to do various projects. As such, I had to ensure that I do enough relevant research to ensure a better project articulation. I use statistical data and tools to access the quality of my work before the presentation. This ensures no variations from good quality work as I ensure objectivity, no grammar errors, no plagiarism, and better articulation of points. Indeed, this ensures Total Quality Management of my work as I seek success.
