Admission Essay Because of my interest at products from abroad, I am strongly interested at international trade and business. In my pursuit to thisinterest, I have already taken relevant courses to be more geared towards my target specialization at this university. Those business-oriented courses include Business law, Accounting 1 and 2, Economics 1 and 2, Calculus for Business, and Introduction to Business, which have provided strong background in both theory and practice in the field of business.

In a further attempt to gain exposure to the business world, I also had been in CPA meetings at twice to be more familiar with the field of accountancy and I am joining the Rotaract Club, a business-oriented organization, at my college this semester.I am a well-disciplined person, so my natural organization skills help me organize the things that I handle. I value punctuality up to the point that I even come early when meeting with friends to casually spend time somewhere. My sense of discipline has developed from experiences.

I have been trying to be independent since I migrated to the United States, and I have learned many things from experiencing different cultures and various people, which can be a strong advantage over other people. I live independently now, which means that I have been solving my own problems and managing my own life without much interference of other people.Taking a business degree in a reputable university not only improves my academic skills but also gives privileges to let a student enrich experiences beyond the four walls of the classroom.

Being exposed to different types of people who are all driven to success makes me maintain high standards of excellence, thereby increasing my competitiveness not only as a professional but also as a person in general. Hence, instead of being satisfied with lower standards, I try to do my best in any situation by taking maximum advantage of the available resources while maintaining my personal values and virtues.Considering my experiences, personal strength, knowledge and interest in the field, I definitely possess the capacity to excel.

Despite this, I always want to constantly improve in many aspects, because being adept at the field of business requires skills in different dimensions. In critical thinking, different aspects must be considered because reality is not one-dimensional, and the forces that affect a situation may be conflicting with each other. Moreover, aside from business expertise, social intelligence is essential in the real world. Business professionals transact with different types of people, so they must learn how to be adaptive to changes and diversity.

Therefore, many of the concepts in the field of business can be applied to everyday life in one way or another, and many other practical values can be learned.Aside from business, I am also interested at fashion and dogs, because they do not simply use the verbal human languages yet they can definitely express in different and astounding ways. In spite of having diverse interests, I still strongly believe that aspiring to be a successful business professional does not mean being uptight and completely abandoning other personal interests.

There is always a sense of innovation and creativity in the business field. For this reason, I would like to integrate my interests to my career as much as possible, which is an effective way of both enjoying and surviving the path that I have chosen. This application is just the first step towards that realization.
