Name Professor Title Course Date Introduction This is integration due to international interchange of products, ideas and parts of culture. Globalization has been in existence since third millennium. Since then, it has continued at a tremendous rate that has led to improvement of various aspects in the world economy (Geipel 2004). According to Thomas L, a famous journalist, it has permanent effect on the world especially on the business sector and it`s growth would be continuous. With globalization countries have been able to interact freely and frequently. Globalization came along with it`s advantages and disadvantages. Due to the widespread interaction, there has been flexibility of labour. Thus, has led to employers to seek for cheap labour abroad causing high unemployment. This causes emotional unrest to those who end up unemployed. It is also partly responsible for the widening gap between the minority rich and the majority commoners in the society. This gives the rich power to dictate policies to be taken in the country, jeopardizing the interest of the common man. It has also led to the large differences between different countries in terms of economy. Globalization has helped in culture preservation. Technology, that is a result of globalization, has enabled preservation of one`s own identity through empowerment. This has allowed social and political power that has not been realized before. It has caused loss of individualism due to westernization. After the western culture was adopted, there has been a widespread development of the computer technology which has been marketed in markets abroad. This has made e-learning possible and consequently quality education (Marian2011). There has been improvement of use of resources and moreover, has saved the environment since multinational corporations carry out researches to create a greener technology. The globalization of social media changed people`s way of communication. Since internet is decentralized, it is very different compared to traditional mass media which display information created by media companies. Before 1990, media systems were the only national systems but after 1990, there has been emergence of global media market (Martell2010). This has been greatly fuelled by satellite and digital technologies. Global media has affected politics and culture. Culture and interests in the United States has been transformed by global media. It is indeed an extension of the American system. According to mcChesney (1999) reports, American media companies had established several editions to suit the already expanded wide market. The worldwide media content has been over a long time been controlled by the American cable companies (Geipel 2004). Internet gives many services to both business and individual users. Information standards that can be provided on the internet enable proper characteristics of products and services in terms of quality, reliability and the cost incurred. It enables businesses to be able to put up with international standards and thus is able to have a large profit margin. Not all nations have welcomed the idea of establishing foreign media operations in their country examples include: Mexico, Spain, Norway and Denmark, which provide government subsidies to support their own domestic media companies. Through this and many other ways, it becomes evident that some nations can make it hard for global companies to air foreign-produced content. Though, there has been concern due to the fact that most of the people globally cannot afford most of the products that are advertised on global media. When the globalization coming people should get the social and economic rights People who are in the labour force sometimes end up working for longer than they should. Therefore, there should be time limit in terms of maximum hours one should work to avoid overworking. There should be a minimum wage to be paid to anyone providing labour. Workers, especially those working in dangerous environs should be protected to avoid them from contracting infections or getting injured. Workers should also be granted the right to freely express their political status and to undertake their social, cultural and economic development. (Chen2008). Over some time ago, trade and financial flows have exercised a major role in the world`s economy enabling a rise in the state of the economy of the specific countries. The two major sectors that have an important role to play to ensure good labour market conditions are both trade and foreign investments. These ensure favorable working conditions so that workers may fully benefit from globalization. One thing that still remains a mystery to most is how trade and finance policy options affect proper work opportunities yet, this is the only way that enables policy makers to come up with solutions that optimize the positive effects of trade and finance on employment. Workers should be allowed to form unions which help them to fight for their rights and defend them when necessary. Everyone has the right to work and to choose the type of work to undertake. All workers have a right to equal amount of pay for a similar piece of work done. When the globalization coming people will get more opportunity to develop Only when a country opens it`s economies to trade, capital investments and competition does it realize significant gains in per capita income. Once it has done so, it enjoys social and economic progress. About 200 million people have left absolute. There has been reduction of infant mortality rate due and an increase in life expectancy due to improved healthcare facilities (Chen2008). This has been mainly observed in developed countries. Globalization is the key cause responsible for ending of discrimination against people on the basis of gender, or even race. Globalization enables the world`s poorest to gain hope especially when it sees the world`s richest enjoying and thus hopes for a better tomorrow (Marian2011). The globalization coming will lose some traditional culture and unemployment rise. Cultural globalization is the spread of our way of life across the globe. Due to the high population growth in the world, culture diversity has been observed. Globalization has led to destruction of cultural identities. This has led to loss of the deep rooted culture that many had preserved over the many generations of which to some, it had been their pride. This has also led to commercialization of culture. Cultural goods and services have been produced for sale as they are essentials of life. There has been a rise in demand of new commodities in the market example music and has thus led to discarding of old artefacts. All this shows how much globalization makes some people undermine their current cultures and how much negative impact this has on them. Globalization has led to a high increase in loss of jobs since employers sometimes prefer importing labour so as to save on production costs this occurs especially when labour from abroad is cheaper. Those doing white collar jobs are affected the most. This scenario is most likely to cause emotional distress to the person involved Globalization brings some changes in people`s life Globalization has made better the economic status of women in the third world at an extremely high rate. With time, the role of women has become of more value than ever before. Therefore, cultures that bared women from participating in important issues in the society have slowly been overtaken by time. Most of the societies now embrace education of women as the few who have been educated have given tangible evidence of importance of women`s education (Tehranian&lum2006). Educated women have been able to aid in their country’s economic development. Women also spend their income wisely as they focus it on the key areas in a country’s development, example education. Child labour has also been seen to decrease as time goes on. This is all attributed to globalization. People`s lives have also changed due to social interactions between people from all corners of the universe. Many have been able to learn different cultures, languages and some, religion that has transformed their lives in various ways. Children and young adults are able to get quality education as they are expected to steer their country`s towards a favorable direction at some day in the near future. People in developing countries have been able to learn from the already developed countries how to take their countries to greater heights and have had thus to change their lifestyles so as to be able to achieve development. In daily life we cannot leave the made in china. This is a common phrase that most of us consumers have come across. Products that are manufactured in china have this name branded on them. Chinese-made products are of good quality and are liked globally. Many countries, including United States, Canada and the European Union just but to mention a few, import a wide range of Chinese-made products for consumption. These products are quite affordable and readily available thus making many people all over to prefer them. China is not a familiar territory to many manufacturers (Tehranian&lum2006). Some manufacturers prefer to pay an increased wage to Chinese employees in a bid to try to improve the quality of their output. Some companies have even forged business alliances with some other Chinese companies. With a globalised world, imports from china might continue reducing in price day after day. Conclusion It is very clear that we don’t expect any major changes in globalization as it has almost reached it`s climax. All in all, internet seems to be one thing that users are going to be forever fond of as it has become a place where lots of things including meeting friends on social networks happen (Martell2010). We should also take care of our rights especially in this globalized world where anybody would want to take advantage of us. We should look out for any opportunity so as not to lose a chance to change our lives for better. Each member of every society should help in preservation of the good culture of the specific society. Though, it should be understood that some culture may be finally lost. With globalization, imports are likely to be a lot cheaper since most of the trade interactions have been simplified. Globalization is a good opportunity for some countries; also it is a big challenge for developing countries. Secondly, it will make some problem in the world that the government should prevent.
