The Chinese civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the world with over 5000 years of narrated history. Over fourteen great dynasties ruled China for centuries and thus the Republic of China was established through a struggle against the Qing dynasty in 1912. But the distrust among Communists and Nationalists, and the effects of the world wars in the 20th century led China towards a Civil War and a revolution that was manipulated by a Communist Party of China under the leadership of Mao Zedong. The modern People’s Republic of China was declared as a Communist State under Democratic Dictatorship and One Party System.

 Confucianism remained a central point of China’s culture and social values throughout its history. With entering in modern era of industrialization and globalization cultural and social standards of China changed to some extent. Now it is in the experimental state to combine the strengths of Chinese and Western culture. The new Chinese era is in the transition of Free Market economy and progressing very well and bringing prosperity. On the other side, Japan with a rich culture and archetypal history started from 13000 B.

C and De-imperialized in World War II have a varied cultural and social influence on Chinese civilization and religious similarities. After the devastating effects of the Second World War, and liberation from Allied forces in 1952, Japan emerged as the world's second economic power with significant cultural and social values.  Japanese society has changed with an economic boost and their relationships with the West are going smoothly. However, old values eroded and birth rate reached to the lowest in the world.

Contemporary Japan has a hybrid culture influenced by the West and Asia. While Japanese society is considered a homogenous society with strong unity and identity.  

Although Japan is most unique about its highly structured and managed society progressing towards prosperity.  

Consequently, this slight overview of both countries depicts that they started their modern journey in the mid of 20th century and still progressing with success. Thus, it can be compared logically and rationally.
