Manifesto speech As we all gathered here, it means we have this nation’s interests at heart and we are gathered here to hear what I myself as a leader has to offer to this great nation we all love. We all have some major issues that my government will address; national income, inflation, unemployment, international trade.Increased Investment in Sustainable Sources of EnergyWe all know that for us human beings to survive, there are some basic needs that we need such which include, water, land, and resources for agricultural production and industrial development.

It is the obligation of my government to protect these natural resources since they are very scarce for the sake of the future generation. Energy which is the economic drive is another resource which we have to reduce its uses and try to come up with renewable sources of energy. My government will fund innovations geared towards production of renewable sources of energy. Funding these innovations will be one way of creating employment to the unemployed citizens as well as increasing our nation’s income.

This will ensure that we will be having continuous supply of energy to run our nation’s activities be it industrial or official as well more employment opportunities for the unemployed citizens. We are looking forward to subsidize the prices of fertilizers by 10% to make them more affordable to the farmers so that they can produce healthy produce and increase their annual yield. However, it is my wish that we adopt to using manure instead of the inorganic fertilizers which is eco-friendly and very cheap since the manure is readily available in our farms (Fukuoka, 1985).

If we will be spending less than we earn, it means that our national income will increase, in which new opportunities will be created leading to employment to thousands to our jobless citizens (Chester , G. A., 2013). This will also mean that the cost of production for the locally manufactured goods will be low hence low inflation. A nation with low inflation rate of less than 5% attracts more investors to come and invest and also enhances its international trade, which is my government’s mission.

Increasing Trade Ties with other European NationsMy government will work hand in hand with the European dimensions as they help us in several ways like teaching us on how the global markets are doing, which product is selling well in the market, reducing levies on European countries hence help in promoting trade amongst its member states. We are ready to work together with European dimension as this means that even labor can be moved from our country to the others at cheap charges which in return will result in low production cost, thus promoting trade.

In the process of moving labor and goods from one country to another, employment opportunities will be created in return making the citizen self-sufficient (Vivien, 1999).Improving Relations with the European UnionThe European Union is one of the most powerful and influential organisation that helps in bringing peace and harmony in the way the member state run their activities. We are a member state together with the over 27 countries in which those figures sounds good for trade. The European Union is one of the largest multinational organizations in the world and it helps in making policies that govern the member states (Dickie, 2006).

It has a great impact on some countries like us who cooperate very well with its regulations and always ready to help such countries. My government will always have good and tight relations with the European Union so as to enjoy its favors. The EU makes rules and regulations that govern the way business is done within the member states and also helps in purchasing raw materials for its member states industries through their powerful currency. The euro is the common currency which is used by all member states in transacting business and my government is ready to work with that since it will be cheaper to get raw materials for our industries.

It will also be easy for the products we produce to get to the market since EU will find the ready market for the products. EU also has the power over the member states when it comes to war, it has its own army which helps in peace keeping either in the member states or other countries that need their help. My government will be willing to produce soldiers to the EU as this will create a loop in our country’s army and as a result, more youths will be employed to fill in those gaps. The money to pay these soldiers will be obtained from taxes that will be from the profits that will be generated from increased economic activity due to low import duties earlier that I have mentioned.

EU has other professions who are picked from member states and this will create a great opportunity for the qualified people to get the employment chances (Vivien, 1999). Improving Trade Ties with International PartnersMy government will strengthen its relations with our trading partners starting from Australia, all the European nations we trade with, the Asian nations, African states as well as the Americans. If we are left alone for ourselves we can’t do much as we need raw materials for our industries as well as get the market for our finished products.

Trade is what makes a nation rich or poor depending on how it carries out its business; my government is ready to improve the way we do trade with our partners by having rules and regulations that are favorable for doing business. We will reduce the tax imposed on imports and exports by 3% so that we make sure we get the very best raw materials for our industries and also get the market with the fairest price for our final products. Having good relations with our trading partners means that no industry will be closed down due to lack high production cost, no employees will be retrenched from their job hence increasing our national income, as we will be self-sufficient.

Amendment of Economic and Financial PoliciesExternal factors that influence European Union are political, economic, social, and technological. Political factors are influenced if there is change in government; it depends on the new legal changes brought in by the new government and what I can assure you my brothers and sisters is that we will impose laws that are favorable for trade with the EU at large. Economic factors deal with the wages, inflation of prices s well as interest rates. My government is going to negotiate with the financial institutions to reduce their loan’s interest rates to the EU member states to less that 8% so as to promote the growth of this nation (Idowu & Leal Filho, 2008).

I know it will bring a difference in the profits they make but what is the need of having high interest rate such that investors are discouraged to take loans and start business rather than having lower interest rate such that it will attract more investors and more money will be given out resulting to better returns at the end. These loans will be taken up by groups that have had difficulty accessing loans in the past such as women and young people. All who qualify for these loans will be able to borrow from between 5,000-10,000 pounds as to start sustainable businesses.

Social factors are influenced by lifestyles and fashions. It depends on what the consumer needs and whether the products are up to his or her expectation. It is the responsibility of my government to carry out investigations and know what most of you the consumers need so that we can adjust the products being brought to our nations and make sure they cope with what you all need. Technological factors are influenced by how we use the new technology for production to reduce the production cost, use of the electronic media for advertisement and also use of the communication sector to pass information from the consumer to the producer so as to adjust on the type of services and goods produced.

Technology is also used in making of bigger locomotives that are fast, and cheaper to run and maintain. The introduction of the electric trains has made transport easier, safer and faster. It’s the duty of my government to embrace the changes in technology, employ the best technocrats to make sure that we are living up to the competition with other nations. If we are left behind, it will be to our disadvantage since there is no nation that wants to take more time in transacting its businesses (Idowu & Leal Filho, 2008).

The above factors have significance in some policies that are very important when it comes to doing business. The affected policies include; 1) employment policy; this is greatly influenced by the political factors in that is there is political instability in a nation, this means that there will be no investments since no investor is ready to risk his investments in a place which is not secure hence there will be no jobs creation (Dickie,2006). My government is ready to do all it can to remain stable and for the unemployed youth, we will set aside some funds were you can get loans at very low rates so that you can start your own small businesses. 2) Inflation policy; this is what discourages or attracts more investors to invest in a nation.

If the interest rates are very high, then it means that the prices of commodities to go high too (Dickie, 2006). My government will negotiate with the Monetary Policy Committee to reduce the interest rates for borrowing money to. Ensuring Favorable Investment Environment for Local CompaniesKey features of the local and national economy in which organizations operate are employment policies, inflation, education and training policies, taxations, as well as “rules of the game.” These factors influence how our local companies will be operating at a profitable manner (Dickie, 2006).

My government is going to regulate the employment policies such that both the employer and the employee are at a good agreement as the employee will have to know his rights as well as his responsibilities, this will ensure that there is a mutual agreement and engagement between the employer and the employee and good working environment. My government is ready to sponsor any training that is geared at providing education to the people on how to invest or be self-sufficient. We will have reduced taxes to big investments that offer employment to lots of people as well since they add more value to the economy of this nation.

I hereby pledge to adhere to my manifesto and I ask for your votes so that you and I can move this nation forward thank you.ReferencesBegg, D.
