Judith Butler explains us the idea of intersex and human life in her own philosophical way in the book “Undoing Gender”. We can say that Butler knows the art of saying ordinary things in extra ordinary way. In this book he focused on the question that “what it might mean to undo restrictively normative conceptions of sexual and gendered life”.
These woman characters have some common features and characteristics, but also have distinctions that make them differ from each other. Helen is treated as a character, symbolizing ambiguity of feminine character, and she has become a model for many characters of women described in later writings by various authors all over the works.
Looking at the poems side by side, the similarities are highlighted, but then some of the essential differences are also immediately discernible. The themes of the two poems obviously have much in common, but the same cannot be said of the treatment of the subject matter. While Benson’s poem has a serious, simple tone, Herrick’s poem has a more playful, teasing approach.
The variation of language gives a clear change in the narrator’s mood. The reader is able to establish the type of character used in the story. The change of the narrator's move indicates to the reader that the characters in the tale are not fictitious. Poe was also able to use language skills in stressing the theme of the tale, murder.
