Roman Polanski’s Macbeth may not be the greatest adaptation, but has certainly been presented well and comes quite close to the original. The story is straightforward and there is something poetic in the presentation. Wright too stays true to the original plot but uses machine gun fire, sex, nightclubs, and gang wars in telling his story.
As the report discusses, the book does not provide clear and precise guidelines of how to behave when dating: what to talk about, how to spend time, etc. Unlike others, the authors refer to general Bible principles and apply them to dating. They view it not as ‘a twentieth-century invention’ but assume a ‘backward’ approach: they apply principles of healthy marriage.
The author explains that Amy’s childhood was hard because of the untimely death of her father, and her brother, who too died when she was very young, yet she continued with her studies. The lack of language skills in the mother caused problems for the young girl in school, for she was pushed towards science subjects.

It isn’t until the girls reach the meat counter that Sammy begins to understand that there’s something more to the girls than just their outward appearance. After watching them walk all through the store before going to the meat counter to ask a question, Sammy has still not figured out that they have an internal purpose for being there.
This represents a kind of madness in keeping with the treatment she had received from her father, who insisted she always remains his little girl and always remembered her high birth status. The world of the present is strange and unrecognizable to Miss Emily, so she struggles continuously to keep it in the realm of the safe and ‘normal’ she knows.
