Literature Analysis

Literature stands out as a primary means for communication on the planet. Through literature, many people have received dynamic information on different topics. Through the course, there has been so much learned on various course topics and countries. The lessons' essence was to increase students' knowledge of essential life issues about communication and general information. Generally, the classes were excellent but failed to touch on significant issues about women, the Middle East as a region, and children, thus creating a need to include them in the next class.

Women

Women in literature is a keen genre that deserves immense concern. After the struggle of women over the years, it should be impossible to ignore them through the writings. An author's work is to come up with important life issues and keep them up to the task with how society perceives them. The topic of women as a literary genre is a substantial one. It has continuously led women to the right path more, so people want to specifically touch on the power and struggle of women to their current balanced status. For the class to be balanced, such an essential area of concern should not be ignored. The women genre has, over the years, gained mileage even as a majority of women heroes have come up and now act as role models in society. To experience a balanced class, such a theme should not be ignored at all costs.

Ezra Pound’s A Girl brings readers the closest feeling to women through the readings. The authors use the split narration method throughout the poem. In the first five stanzas, Miss Daphne is the narrator. The lady details her changes while showing the tree's feelings getting through her hands and then growing within her breasts. In the second half of the same poem, it takes the look of a third person onlooker, who is likely to be Apollo (Pound 2-4). Virtually, the poem touches on Daphne's person and not the struggles of women as a whole, which makes it not keen to attention like most authors would prefer to have their literary works to go through.

A girl has robust compliance with mythology. From the writings, Pound made it clear with a specific story and thinking in mind. There have been several contemporary interpretations of the issues over the years. In the poem, the first narrator appears to be an older female child who details her symbolic transformation into a tree, which officially directs her wild imagination. The poem does not move into explaining how women experience life in the community. It appears to have a powerful affiliation to fictitious stories rather than the reality of women in the community. As a result, the poem does not address the essential women issues, leaving the same gap in the literature as all the other novels and poems have through the course.

The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock comes out as one that discusses emotions on a balanced scale. It was created between 1910-11 and was later published in 1915 for the first time. The poem made reflections of a person who was busy searching for love in an uncertain society. Even when he knows what to come up with and how to express love, he was still hesitant about the movement of issues. The plan was to develop better ways of solving different challenges in his life while finding love along the way. For him, he feels that love was a powerful emotion. He looks for specific features in the person he wants and never open to any adjustments. It is even worse when he realizes that he had found the person but still ignore the calling.

From the two pieces, a reader would get the need to have the topic of women being addressed in subsequent classes. It is essential in modernism that women are offered a chance in literature. While most of the issues have been one gender-based, the readers and students need to go through the feminine matters and come up with an assessment of how they view life after that. The purpose is to grow a community that understands one another and kill any elements of patriarchy that might be growing. The literary classes need to highlight every struggle as it is and make the readers understand the actual value of what they are working with at the time.

The Middle East Region

Several regions have been addressed in the poem, including Africa, Europe, India, and America. Leaving out an essential region in modern world politics as the Middle East raises important questions as to the regard for the whole area in literature. Several works appreciate and criticize the development and principles of democracy in the Middle East, which can be addressed through the class sessions (Sawyer 17-19). Adding up the courses makes sense as it is supposed to create unity in all countries and create a possibility of fairness across the world.

The first in line was Lu Xun’s; Medicine a compelling short story that talks about several poor and illiterate parents by using money to buy bread, creating fresh human blood. The blood belonged to a revolutionary who had just been murdered at the time. Most of the human blood was capable of curing their son of any tuberculosis cases. All these cases were capable of changing human perception about the region. At such a stage, an essential thing pertained to how the freedom of association was employed in the said regions was courtesy of immense pressure from the communities in question (Lu et al. 15-19). Lu Xun looks at how much Asia had turned into a region directed with intense pressure and moved more towards a dire need to changing how humans relate to one another and the perception of the leadership. For leaders to consider being in power permanently, it would mean that they were not so much in love with their people. Mainly, these were the trouble of Asia as a region at the time.

From the class sessions, essential lessons were shared about the Asian region and India, but no mention of the critical Middle East was considered. It limited the freedom of students to understand such vital areas. As a result of such changes, one needs to know how different societies will be matching in different regions and the amount of change that would be brought up henceforth. Such dynamic changes are capable of enhancing a student's knowledge of specific areas. Literature should enable individuals' freedom of movement, such that it needs to act as a medium between students of literature and the world at large. Essentially, there is a dire need to improve on the classes and bring in the course of action for the Middle East region.

Children

The aspect of children is a significant one in literature. Excellent lectures and school environments should be open enough to enable more people to learn about children, their needs, and their play. At such a framework, one needs to show students the need to go through children's literature topics. They are an essential topic in society. While all the other issues have been enabled, it is necessary to gain a better understanding of children and their issues in the community (Winkler 18-19). With the dynamic movement of ideologies in literature, it could be essential to understand how children think and their issues in general. Scholarly understanding of the crucial topics surrounding kids enables a better view of different perceptions in place. Generally, the classes failed to educate students on Children as a critical genre, such as children.

Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart looks at life in Africa. The author intended to look at how people turned up to be better in Africa. In such a region, culture was an essential means for associating humans. The book touched on the life of a child growing up in Africa but specifically focused on the development of culture at the time (Chinua 21-45). A child's growth in Africa meant an essential understanding of culture rather than their livelihood. For most children in the continent, the major issues related to how best they knew their community and not into how they wanted to turn up in the future. Chinua Achebe offers the African version of culture for people to read and understand how much the communities were prepared to deal with different issues. Mostly, Chinua looks at the African culture from the perspective of different people, more so when he touches on how much development and understanding worked in Africa.

The course content does not direct so much into the children's genre. As a genre, it is an essential aspect to look after by students. These are equally children and need to understand what literature looks at from their perspective. It would be critical to look at issues from a range they best understand. Students need to be educated on the essential factors and problems that come up in life, which can best be looked after through literature classes. As a class, one should be looking at the potential to understand every life issue in literature, where children's genre has to be a significant part of such development from the onset.

Literature is a vital life element as it teaches people on different issues in society and tends to educate humans on how to live within specific restrictions. Literature touches on all the life topics of concern. It stands within the limits of understanding particular issues that we deal with from time to time. However, specific regions and genres have been left out through the course, such as the Middle East, Women, and Children. These are significant areas that a person must understand while digging through literary works. As a reader, one’s purpose is to keenly get through how literature flows, with very keen interest being on how to develop specific issues in the literary region. Therefore, while proceeding into the next class, it is essential to consider the relatable topics in question.
