Macbeth through the qualities he becomes the tragic hero since he possesses both assets and the title of a great hero and warrior. His tragic flaw is his ambitiousness especially when he learnt Malcolm would be heir to the Scotland throne, he ambitiously says he cannot rest since the title could be his.
The prophecies of the witches made Macbeth hopeful of attaining the throne since they prophesied he would be king. He, therefore, has a tug of war with his conscious that he ought to be the king. He plans the deaths of Malcolm, which later led to many other deaths in trying to cover up. Though afraid of his actions, Macbeth weighs all the consequences and outcomes that show he is wise.
Macbeth still fights on and prophecies come true but only for a short while. He is remorseful of the murders he commits and he too dies in the same way he killed as Macduff killed him (Bradley, Brown, and Bradley 281).
