J.R.R Tolkien was a professor at Oxford University, where He read through the smash hit poem “Beowulf”. He composed certain essays over the poem and also truly loved Beowulf. It shows in the story The Hobbit. Upon additional evaluation, the two stories are very comparable. Let’s begin with reviewing the primary figures, Bilbo and Beowulf. Bilbo was a tiny hobbit, “About half our size, and smaller than bearded dwarves” and Beowulf was an amazing big man with substantial power, “He was the strongest of men alive in that day”.

In Beowulf they seem ambivalent, exhibiting the audience that the identical attributes may be acquired by both the heroes and their opponents, but Beowulf does not move further to offer a whole new interpretation of heroism. This is achieved in The Hobbit, as the conventional heroic values are available in those nearly suited to becoming called heroes. Figures similar to Thorin, the further dwarves, and the Elven King simply cannot be known as opponents; however, for all their vengeance and endeavors at respect, they do not attain the position of a hero.
