Discuss why criminal activity is so prominent in society today Criminal activity exists in every society. Crime thesedays is instigated by a number of issues. An excellent reason for the prominence of criminal activity is the existence of organized crime (Laurel 23). The organized crimes often become managed by various criminals and exist as gangs controlling various crimes in various locations (Laurel 26). These organized crimes often recruit new entrants. In addition, they usually have means of evading the government.
In scrutiny of Reservoir dog, the film depicts the actions of an organized crime. In this film, the boss of a given mob, Joe Cabot, organized 6 criminals to rob a diamond warehouse (Reservoir dogs). He later gave these 6 criminals different names in the process (Reservoir dogs). In the event of trying to steal the diamonds, they were immediately ambushed by police, loosing Mr. Brown, and injuring Mr. Orange (Reservoir dogs). IT is upon the event that the members started suspecting of the gang being infiltrated by a police person (Reservoir dogs).
It is evident that organized crime is sometimes fueled with acquisition of expensive things in the society, like diamonds, art pieces, etcetera. These criminals in a bid to become more aggressive in their crimes often get organized with a given goal (Laurel 30). In the movie, we are told that the instructions to rob the ware house had originated from a mob leaders who had intentions of stealing diamonds for his own good (Reservoir dogs).
