In another circumstance, Powell poses that analogy is observed between science and myths. Science is the branch of education that explains factual behavior and characteristics of matter (Smith, 76). In this case, science is appreciated for the clarity it demonstrates, any issue in science that is unclear must be addressed in the prescribed definite way. In other words, science is self-correcting, one needs a scientific procedure to confirm or dispute a fact in science, any approach of the contrary is not accepted (Lang, 88). The relation in this scenario with divine myth is that people tend to cast enormous faith in the myths as well as science that a state of rigidity is almost assumed (G.Jung, & Kerényi, 97).

Analogous structures are also observed in the evolution of animals where it is believed that the presence of structures that does the same roles is an indication that evolution commenced at some common stage (Graf, & Marier, 56). The analogy is thus a phrase used to show a state of similarity between two items.
