So Mexicans are taking jobs from America In an effort of earning a living for their families Mexicans come to America, but are faced by discrimination from the society i.e. the American citizens (Baca 2). This issue of Mexicans streaming in America to seek jobs in is being faced with a lot of controversy because the citizens think they should be prioritized before any foreigner. Statistics show that the number of Mexicans taking jobs in America is increasing making the citizens worried blaming them for taking jobs away from them, accusing them of stealing jobs. No one can come to you and force you to give them jobs at gun point. For the purpose of this paper I will try to explain why the Mexicans are coming to take jobs in America and who are involved in both sides of getting and giving the jobs. The issue of immigrants coming to seek jobs in America was not out of control in the past unlike the present. The issue has become a pressing one because of several factors that have been changing in the current century. Baca in his poem is angry because of how the Americans treat Mexican workers who come to seek jobs in America. However some Americans are happy about giving jobs to foreigners because offer them lower wages than they would have to pay to hire their fellow American workers. 1986 labor laws, state that employing of illegal emigrants is unconstitutional and therefore a crime. However, some employer disregard this law in search for cheaper labor. Other employers will simply accept fake documents for employment and hire unlawful workers and take them as legal. This issue of how and why Mexicans are taking jobs from Americans can be discussed with reference to four major standing point’s i.e. political, social, ethical and economic point of view. The political side deals with the analysis of the American constitution on whether immigrants should be allowed to take American jobs and interpretation of the immigration policy. The social issue is concerned with how the immigrants and the American citizens relate to each other in their day to day life, also how their children will relate to each other, the immigration act of 1924 was aimed at limiting immigration overall and making sure that the nationalities of new arrivals matched the overall national profile. The moral point of view is tackling the right of Mexicans to take American jobs and on the other hand if Americans should give Mexicans jobs (Baca, 1). The economic matters entail how the Mexican intrusion into American jobs has affected the American economy as a whole; immigrants should contribute as much as $10 billion to the American economy each year. In the poem written by jimmy Santiago Baca shows how Mexicans entered America in search of greener pastures. American dream by Arnold Schwarzenegger is an interview with Schwarzenegger detailing how a man tries to pursuit his dreams as an athlete, in no way should you give up whatever the situation is. Even when he failed several times in contests, he became successful by overcoming all in America (Baca, 1). In other words, these relaters give examples of how immigrants come from other countries, trying to pursuit their dreams in another land, looking for better living standards for their families, and becoming people that have an impact in the USA. Society singles them out due to look. The hopeful attitude of the talk is in harsh distinction to Baca’s poem, highlighting American society’s fondness for immigrants to Latin-Americans vs. European. Some Mexicans effectively slip across the border but that does not mean they will be successful once they get to America. Baca writer of the poem telling us how Mexicans are taking American jobs but on a positive view, gives a psychological depiction of the origin of most of the immigrants, and makes us understand why they would opt to jeopardy their lives coming to America, knowing the dangers they face in America The gun shots heard at night are white farmers killing Mexicans who are unhealthy until you see ribs poking out and starved children shows us the hostility he has towards Americans for the cruelty on the Mexico America boarder on the Mexican citizens, the immigration soldiers treat them like trash(Rodriguez, 1). Also he gives the image of money that represents a bad economy and it means that name people who live in poverty are obscure or besieged, to hold on before they are compressed by the heaviness of the economy: ‘underneath that cool green sea money, millions of people struggle to live”. On the other hand,” The children of the Mexicans are dying in Mexico I.e. Americans waste a lot of time condemning Mexicans for taking their jobs but they have larger tribulations. One of their problems is their incapacity to take accountability for their own mistakes and bad opinions. Furthermore, most people that are jumping border do so because they have a lower standard of living than people in America. The reasons why these Mexicans come to take American jobs are different according to different individuals. There are some common problems that the Mexican nation faces like ethical reasons like corrupt political reasons, social problems like crime and illegal drugs, economic problems where the Mexican economy does not favor the poor the cost of living is very high for them. Not all Mexicans came to the United States for reasons of poverty. Getting into this century, during the "revolution" a civil war in Mexico, many Mexicans fled Mexico as enemies or escaped fighting and harassment (Rodriguez, 1). These people thrilled America's thought of itself as a political resolution. For most of this century most Mexicans, legal or illegal have come to America due to necessity. There is no work in Mexico, they come for jobs to better their lives. They do not otherwise want America as they perceive America and they do not want American children. In contrast to this discussion, Mexicans perceive America as a place of risky confusions, dodgy freedom--a Miltonic Tijuana. most villages in Mexico name sons and daughters who have not come back. Mexicans fear losing "Mexican values" to civilization. Mexicans know what is at danger in America but they never comprehend, prior to coming, how America will snatch them. They however apprehend the threat by its appropriate name: a job. Another positive reason that I have come to discover is that when Mexican students come to study in America they rarely return to Mexico as they prefer to take American jobs since they offer improved pay, in contrast with Mexico the American financial system puts forward better paying jobs and also the economic development that is faster in America makes it easy for them to get jobs. These are legal Mexicans in America and Americans should not complain about them at all. Washington is starting, just beginning, to figure out appropriately the single-minded principle for Mexicans inflowing the United States. The reason of present migration legislation implies as much: If you cut off jobs, Mexicans won't come., coming unlawfully or legally is not the peak (Rodriguez,1). To put forward a job, any job, the working center of American culture. American culture is based on the job basis. The question of what gender of the Mexicans mostly comes to take American jobs? It’s easy because the men are the people who go to seek jobs in order to provide for their families. So the male species is the superior number of the two genders. This does not mean that women of females do not go to America to seek jobs, they definitely do but not in large numbers as the male. Some women will go to America to legally look for jobs others go illegally to work as prostitutes, while others go there seeking better education to better their lives. In the poem of Santiago the issue of racism clearly appears. Mexicans creep up on you at night and they rob you, stab you in the back (poem). But people have a propensity to overlook the hard work the Mexicans do on plantations for very little money. The poet says the Mexicans work so hard to plant and pick natural food for American stores so they can have food to eat. In conclusion we agree that both the American and Mexican governments need to see how they will handle the issue. For Americans, laws are unconditional. If Mexicans carry on coming, they are breaching the law. They have to go. But here is America's perplexity. There is no such thing as a "foreigner job" in America, no job is offered without required documents but people break this law. Provisional inclusion is a thing of the past in America even if the job is finished, America has already begun. Therefore Americans should not accuse Mexicans of taking their jobs.
