I love being in this nation and having the same opportunities as any other student in the nation. This is much appreciated as I owe my success in my everyday life to this love and appreciation considering my racial dispensation.
I am a Christian and strongly believe in and adhere to Christian values and teaching. This religious preference has been my moral guide and has helped me develop upright morals. Christianity is my childhood religion and all my life Christian value have helped me make decisions and judge social factors to the best ability (Santrock 44). Christian teaching has also shaped me into the most respectable adulthood appealing to everyone in terms of proper ethics and morals. I also have a special spot for animals; both wild and domestic but gentle animals. Since childhood, I have loved being around pets and trips to the zoo and the park was created in my special childhood memories. Of this love for animals, I work as a volunteer at an animal shelter. This is a duty and obligation I make every two weeks. Volunteering at the animal shelter is more than a job to me since I feel happy to be part of a worthy course.
I have numerous hobbies ranging from outdoor activities to indoor activities based on company and relevance. One of my best hobbies is hiking which I normally indulge in for fun and also for fitness purposes. Hiking is more than a sport to me as it is also my best way option to relax and meditate. I am also a movie fanatic and listen to music. I am an inspirational movie fanatic. Additionally, being an Asian I love to celebrate Asian talent in theaters and be part of the audience promoting young Asian talents. My choices of movies are also based on company and relevance with romantic, inspirational, and epic movies being my best genres. I am also amazed by animal watching. My choice of music is versatile and I do not have specific preferences for music. However, I love lyrical and effectively vocally made music pieces. I also love reading novels and literary materials. My love for reading developed in my childhood days as I was exposed to literary works mostly storytelling pieces. From this exposure, I have learned to love storytelling novels and literary pieces (Rheingold 67).
My long-term career goal is to be able to have a career based on excellence and perception. I want to be an expert in the field of nursing and be a role model to other aspiring nursing students. As a nursing student, I want to acquire the best out of class and be able to reflect that in my career objective. I have learned to develop the required nursing characteristics at an early stage which would make it an easier task for me during practice (Santrock 77). My choice of nursing was driven by my love and admiration of medicine. I have always loved to be part of a medical team in a great institution and leave a legacy of excellence. I also love doing passionate and humane acts of kindness. Through nursing, this is made possible as I attend to people in need of attention and medical help.
In enhancing my nursing career this particular class has been a significant tool. To effectively operate in a medical setting one should be able to overcome the language barrier. Being an Asian I was not fluent in communicating through English and this was a requirement in my career choice. The subject English 101 has given me the required fluency in English. I also have the opportunity to improve my level of social interaction. This has helped me gain more courage when communicating with people from different social circles. The subject has also boosted my learning experience and grade while in this college. Read More
