Juxtaposition of Waltz with Bashir and Alice Walker Poem 'Thousands of Feet Below You' Part journal, part imaginative masterwork, the explicit novel portrays Ari Folman’s complicated effort to restructure his own position in the dispute. Walker’s talks of the young boy’s broken bones meaning he never lived beyond the tragedy. Forman was in the war, survived it, and now he is struggling with the memories of what happened(Walker 6). Both authors are appealing to their viewer member’s right mind and point of view. Their books show that sentiment has the capability to be made invisible through writing. Both authors have managed to take the readers through their subconscious thinking. As in the case of Walker, the little boy has been subjected to problems at a very young age and so is Walker who joined the army at a very young age (Walker8).

Walker was nineteen when he joined the Israel Defense Forces. The Israel Defense Forces did not understand the massacre as anything further than an anti-terror deed. This shows that they did not care about the young boys who were suffering and had to run away as Walker puts in her poem. Both poems have imaginative pictures, which are capturing our feelings (Forman 24). By placing these texts beside each other, many ideas are captured in our minds. Walker’s poem could be addressing Forman. This is because he was a perpetrator of this massacre.

Forman was guilty of whatever transpired in Lebanon and Walker is sending him a message requesting him to treat those who survived the massacre well. When Walker writes on home-coming of the little boy to the loving hands of his mother, she insinuates that Foreman should receive the boy with open arms (Walker16). This could also mean that Foreman was the same boy running away from bombs. This is because the book says that he joined the army at an early age and so hardly made decisions on the attacks.
