Emily puts forward different examples to put her view in front of the audience. She provides an example of the emperor who cannot pursue someone to take him into his/her life if he/she is not willing to do so. In other words the soul is completely dependent to choose from people when it wants to. On the other hand in the poem “Success is counted sweetest” Dickson provides a view on the factor of success. According to the author success is only a virtue or achievement for an individual who cannot achieve it.
A desire which is fulfilled cannot be explained in better terms by the person who has fulfilled it but rather by the person who has not yet achieved it. Hence it can be said that both the poems differ greatly in their context and moral. In this poem Emily is talking about desires whereas in the other poem she puts forward the nature of the human beings. The poems are somewhat similar in the context of beliefs. Both the poems promote the individuality of the human beings and put forward that they have a right to choose over their life.
The poems tell about different feelings that the human beings possess and how desperate they can be in certain instances to fulfill their desires. “I am no body! Who are you” and “this is my letter to the world” “I am no body! Who are you” and “this is my letter to the world” are both poems written by Emily Dickinson, which revolve around her our life, both the poems are beautifully grafted and provide a view about life as Emily perceived it to be. Both the poems are quite similar to each other but with a different theme.
The life of Emily Dickinson was spent in solitude and both these poems revolve around the solitude. In “I am nobody! Who are you” Emily proposes that it is not necessary for everyone to become someone in life. She further states that people who are no body tend to live a better life than people who have become a “somebody”. She wrote this on her own life as she herself was a lonely person and only got recognized once she died. Similarly in the poem” This is my letter to the world” she is putting forward different realities of life as perceived by her during her life time.
Both the poems tend to portray the life of Emily Dickinson. On the other hand, both the poems have great differences in their message. In this is my letter to the world” Emily has tried to Propose something that had never occurred in those times. She elaborated that she herself was in love with the uniqueness of nature; she wanted to explain that even woman can have the love for nature, on the other hand in “I am no body! Who are you?” she appeals to an audience which is nothing in front of the people who are “somebody”.
In general this poem rather relates to the personal attributes that people possess these days. In conclusion it can be said that these both poems have specific difference and similarities which can be viewed from a rational perspective. The Weary Blues The Weary Blues is a poem written by Langston Hughes in 1923 which revolves around the evening in the city of Harlem. It tells about the significance of blues music and how it can help people to overcome their agony. In simple words it is about people who love blues music and how it can help them to get relieved of the pain that they are suffering.
Weary Blues has been spliced very skillfully. This poem is gyrating around so many grief-stricken ideas. He has written about a
