Extract of sample "Significant Form of Injustice"

I believe this was a gross example of injustice meted out to him. If he were not cleared to appear in the final examinations, he should have been intimidated earlier and not at the eleventh hour (Velasquez 2008). Moreover, the manner in which he was asked by the school authorities to forcibly get up from his seat and leave the hall was uncalled for. It humiliated my friend and made him look uneasy in front of everyone. In addition, the fact that he would have to repeat the entire year also shook him from inside.

I am of the view that this injustice must be due to some communication gap that would have arisen within the school ranks. When these authorities would have found out, they must have taken immediate action but then again the manner under which my friend was asked to leave instantly from the hall raises quite a few questions here. The first question that comes to mind is how a student can be humiliated and petrified like this. The second query here is that who would be deemed as the culprit behind the anomaly which essentially occurred. The final question is that what learning has been instilled within everyone as far as future domains are concerned.

Had I been in a position to tackle this situation at hand, I would have allowed the student to take his final examinations once the mistake had gone by (Johnson 2007). This was because a student is sent to an institution to learn something and not to be ridiculed for someone else’s mistake. I would have asked the school authorities how they could have become so confused that they were unable to decide whether to allow the student to sit within the examinations or not.

In essence, there was a great amount of injustice that was done to my friend. I still feel shivers when I recall that very moment. It was like a dream gone completely flat. His eyes, his emotions – all were suggesting that he was broken from inside. It seemed like he had done a grave mistake by falling ill, which essentially was not the case. The world had come to an end for my friend. His feelings were sabotaged and his belief within the institution of the school had received a serious jolt. I would therefore call this example of injustice very unfortunate and uncalled for.
