SUBJECT: Media censorship
The subject of discussion is media censorship where the government curtails what the media will display in relation to a topic of security or any other they deem necessary to avoid being told to the public. I will specifically address the issue of media censorship over the matters of security.
Censorship over the matters of security has been a matter that has been taking place in many countries over the past few years. Many media stations have been known to air and writer stories that have contributed to causing of perpetrating violence in their countries or air government secrets in public for all to see as was the case in Egypt last year. This is a controversial matter that many media personnel feel it is against their freedom of expression and hence against their constitutional right. The government however insists that it is of importance because it protects not only the secrets of the government and prevents violence but it also avoids people being hurt over certain issues being openly displayed by the media openly.
The New York Times carried the story of “Egypt Seizes Newspapers to Censor an Article” where the government censored the print media. There was also an article on The Wall Street Journal about internet censorship in China and which is extending to Japan as well. This was also carried out by the government in a bid to stop spread of information and government propaganda.
Media censorship over security issues of a nation is more of a necessity than infringement of the media freedom of expression.

...?[Your full June 13, The Art of War The quote by Sun Tzu has a great application in the development of one’s moral and ethical framework. The real art of war teaches us that we should prepare ourselves even for the worst attack by the enemy and should make ourselves so strong that the enemy feels itself weak. It is not right to shut our eyes and expect the enemy not to attack or if it does, we do not see or confront it. This lesson helps build strong morals and ethics in our personalities. This teaches us the importance of preparedness for the worst. This teaches us how dangerous it can be if we show recklessness, cowardice, temper, delicacy of honor, and over-solicitude during hard times that may come in...

...responsibilities. The aim of this paper is to examine key questions concerned with corporate ethics. These questions include whether any corporations believe that they must give evidence of acting ethically, whether this insistence is just politically-correct window dressing in many instances, whether it represents genuine moral concern on the part of top managers at the companies which issue them, whether it is truly good business for a corporation to institute ethical practices or whether these practices simply purchase a tawdry respectability within the community for a company. The answers to these key questions will be discussed in this paper in the...

... Task “Ethic” Race and spatial imaginary are inseparable. Spatial imaginary on racism involves presumed discriminative racial identity in shaping up opportunities and life chances for individuals and groups. This essay intends to examine the dynamics of appreciating race and racism work by accounting for the vibrant ways in which racial identities are spatialized in tandem with a racialized space. An ordinary perception on race gives a shallow definition of racism basing it on the physical happenings and treatment. However, this study establishes that, racial segregation goes beyond unfair discrimination since; associations between races imply associations between places (George, 21). For instance, space can create racism through... Task...

BUSINESS ETHIC POSITION PAPER

...Writ 340-Section Corporate Social Responsibility On a continual basis, heads of corporations must determine whether they should be responsible to their shareholders or to their stakeholders, which would include the community. These two entities, the shareholders and the community, are often at odds with each other as one is interested in maximizing profits while the other is more concerned with the common good of all. In making these decisions regarding the corporation’s level of social responsibility, leaders must consider the ethics of the situation. In the documentary, the actions of the top executives from various companies, academic economists, federal regulators and bankers were mostly to blame for the collapse of the markets and a paralyzed financial system which eventually led to loss of jobs and savings. From the film, the bankers acted...

...Media Censorship Affiliation: Core ethical issue The core ethical value in this case of media censorship is curtailing of the freedom of speech of the journalists. By prohibiting them to tell the truth of what is happening with the claims over national security issues, the journalists are left without their freedom of expression which they are guaranteed by the constitution. This freedom of expression is what allows journalists to research on issues affecting the community in one way or another and air out the research results to the public (Lin, 2015). Research subject and topic This research will specifically focus on media censorship in Egypt. In 2011, Egypt had been facing numerous security issue of...
