The most important form of media for me is my cellphone because it is through my phone that I am able to access the internet through checking my mail and my social media accounts in a very easy and accessible manner. Though my phone is important I also use to use the television when trying to view the world current affairs.
The choice of the media I choose depends with few considerations such as the time. For example, in the morning I tend to rely on using the phone and I receive my news through social media; this is due of it accessibility and its closeness. I tend to view the television during the evening while resting after a long day’s work and schedule in as much there is a lot of news in the social media, I tend to see the news in the television during the evening.
2)Concentration of media industry this is the process whereby few individuals own very high stakes in the media companies therefore being able to pursue their agenda by reporting from the angle they perceive to be right. Media mergers are also a trend pursued by this media firms. Their objectives are always to increase market share and increase revenues for the interested parties. According to the way I perceive media, my point of view is of the high individuals who own the few parties.
The media always perceives the west as the saint who is always there to save the world with friendly policies and the east as the enemy of the world. The west is seen as the helper and who is always there to help in bringing justice and equality to all. This has come with a lot of civisms from the smaller countries whose media does not follow to this point of view. Though a lot may agree, I tend to understand the reason why this media have to favor the interest of the owners.
