Kelly: Yes, I did wear them, but all of them were your old clothes. I never wear your new clothes, but the gown you are wearing is my new gown.

Bella: And who decides whether wearing each other’s old clothes is right or new clothes? Even though you tend to wear my old clothes, they are as dear to me as my new ones.

Kelly: My clothes smell foul after you have worn them. You never take a bath!

Bella: What? What did you just say? I don’t take a bath? YOU don’t take a bath. You smell foul. You filthy evil!

(Kelly and Bella start abusing each other. First, they call each other names and then break into a physical fight. Kelly pulls Bella’s hair, while Bella tends to protect herself and in self-defense, slaps Kelly. Mom comes running from the kitchen into the lounge).

Mom: Hey, why are you fighting like cats? Ae, Kelly, leave Bella’s hair. (Mom comes in between the two and tries to pull the two apart from each other).

Bella: Mom, see. I always said she is jealous of me. You know she wears my clothes every other day. If I wore her gown today, was that as big a deal as she’s made it? It’s been ages since I’ve last worn anything that belonged to her. She just couldn’t digest this.

Mom: Kelly, actually Bella is right. I see that you tend to take hold of Bella’s things, but never let her take yours.

Kelly: Mom, that’s my new gown. I have worn it just once. I want to wear it many times before I see somebody else wearing this.

Mom: Alas, you are my elder daughter, whereas you didn’t deserve to be. As an elder sister, you should be way more loving and caring towards Bella than you are. Bella’s never differentiated between old and new clothes. I often see you wearing her new clothes. You said you have worn this gown just once, whereas I saw you wearing Bella’s brand new T-shirt the other day that she has not worn even once.

Bella: See, everybody, knows you wear my clothes!

Mom: Kelly, if you can’t see her wearing your clothes, don’t wear hers next time. And if you do, then you should not have a problem with her if she wears yours. Let’s decide once and for all. Will you wear Bella’s clothes next time?

(Kelly goes blank).

Mom: Do think about it and let me know once you’ve decided. Bella, you go honey. You’re running late for the party.

Bella: Oh thank you, Mom, thank you so much. You’re the sweetest mom ever!
