? Qualitative Analysis of Civility Project Qualitative Analysis of Civility Project Introduction The application of information in the communication sector based on the grounded theory is based on empirical data collected towards making affirmations on different views. The concept of education is best understood as a process in which information is acquired through listening, watching or through any other sense. The medium by which education is passed on to the audience is a subject of controversy especially where technology is involved. Technology, as a medium of educational exchange, has numerous challenges. One of the challenges is the measure by which education can be dispersed from the source to the recipient. In education, the lack of a measure in the amount and quality of information provided to the user is a challenge to the education sector. The comparison of education that incorporates technology is done based on the print form of education. However, the differences between the two forms of educational media are the same as with print media and the preceding oral traditions. Just as the current opposition against the incorporation of technology in education is a cause of debate, when print media was being incorporated in education, the existing system had to adapt to the changes being made (Scalise, 2007). I posit that education should be facilitated to the interpersonal level, which can be best achieved by the use of technology in discouraging some of the incivility in the community. Description I have had the opportunity of studying behavior of kids in social work such as in the organization, solutions for change. It is an experience I feel helped to foster a good understanding of the roles, responsibilities, expectations, and requirements in the Social Work career. I have worked in a number of firms in various capacities. My culmination has been the need to advance my education in order to take up my social work career. By employing my skills in understanding the children, I believe that communication and availing information as suggested in the conduct of the grounded theory shall contribute to the success of the incivility elimination pursuit. Characteristics such as empathy, sensitivity, and respect for others are elemental to being an effective social worker, let alone a member of the society. Having the aforementioned qualities is an advantage and I believe that this edge, in relation to ethics, will help me deliver services effectively as a social worker. I hope to major in Clinical Social Work and eventually start my own private practice offering various social services to the immediate and surrounding community. Understanding the perils of the populations vulnerable to social challenges such as bullying and discrimination within the society is one of the areas I seek to focus on. This is with the aim of ensuring social injustices emanating from these challenges are eliminated or reduced. Having undergone the perils of discrimination and bullying, I believe that I am able to perform the role of a social worker effectively. Analysis Firsthand experience on some of the problems that various social groupings face compels me into helping people the best way I can. This is by acquiring and implementing knowledgeable skills of social work, and consequently transferring these skills to parties suffering silently in the society. I am a victim of bullying, and in spite of this bad experience, I helped other people going through the same predicament since it helped me understand and cultivate the desire to overcome and pursue life challenges. I am a not a typical American, which has contributed to my yearning for an opportunity to help individuals facing discriminatory conduct based on their race, ethnicity, origin, or social background. My origin played a part in most of the social challenges I faced. I experienced considerable discrimination and was alienated in most social gatherings of my teens as I further had a conundrum of being overweight. These experiences have helped me realize that weight, ethnicity, and behaviors, such as bullying, present social problems that ought to be considered detrimental and that require consideration. Bullying is a particular area of concern, as it is very common in the society, especially among young adults and teens. It is possible to eliminate the vice through extensive social work and provision of information to both the bullies and their victims. Bullying and discrimination have negative impacts on the victims with the most common being the development of a low self-esteem (Scalise, 2007). These experiences are part of the reasons behind my Social Work career choice, with an inclination towards Clinical Social Work. I envision improving the living standards and the social status of the people in my society. This is because I believe that providing knowledge will help empower them while further reducing the levels of poverty in the society, since poverty is one the themes associated with incivility. In spite of my zeal and desire to work as a clinical social worker, I have no recorded social work experience. However, I have experience in the administrative field gained from years of working in various administrative positions in different firms. I have substituted the lack of social work experience with interpersonal skills, administrative skills, and diverse social work knowledge. Having the necessary skills to communicate with people of different origins provides a strategic advantage that will enable me to exude the confidence and provide potential clients with an outlook that is indicative of a dependable person ensuring I remain effective as a clinical social worker. Discussion In working with different social organizations where I interacted with different types of persons, I have learnt skills useful in dealing with incivility. I was charged with duties ranging from advising, consulting, and treating patients under the guidance of nurses and physicians, maintenance of various records, front office operations ranging from appointment scheduling to filing and answering telephones, an area I feel helped improve my communication and public relation skills. Having worked at the Ocean View Cemetery, I acquired skills that can be helpful in the field of social work. The various firms I have had the chance of working for have provided a good learning environment, which has further helped me hone my skills in various aspects of leadership. As an administrative assistant, I was responsible for managing my juniors who I worked with. I was also charged with the responsibility of planning and scheduling of duties, activities, timelines and ensuring the resources allocated to the activities ensured timely and quality delivery. As part of a team, I have managed to learn skills that help me work with other people towards achieving set goals and objectives within the workplace. This presents a major problem in that it can lead to other occurrences suicidal tendencies among the victims. Lack of information is the major culprit behind the proliferation of the vice (Scalise, 2007). Ensuring a fulfilling and comfortable life for my society and I are some of the driving forces of my life. Living amongst the discriminated for a long time, and a desire to see all persons live in peace provides an objective, which I hope to attain through studies in Social Work. I find living in a society where people go without food, or human rights are violated and ignored by the elite in the society morally challenging. It is my view that life essentials, people empowerment against discrimination, and abject poverty should not be ignored by individual or corporate entities. Understanding the dynamics of social apprehensions, as well as gaining knowledge towards improving the society, through the provision of social services and empowering of the people in need encompass my motivation in applying to the school of Social Work. Dealing with these social problems calls for the provision of information indiscriminately. My preferred strategy is the use of schools and community-based social groups to help disperse information with the aim of curbing the vice identified. In relation to the social workers code of ethics, it is imperative that I remain respectful, free of discrimination, and ready to prevent any form of domination or even exploitation and discrimination of people in the society. If given the chance to pursue my studies in Social Work at a university of my choice that offers the program on an excellent level, I shall prioritize acquisition of knowledge necessary to provide my services to the unfortunate, discriminated, and vulnerable people in the society. This constitutes helping improve the living and social status of thousands of victims. In doing this, I feel I will have succeeded in the realization of some of my goals and objectives.
