Research proposal for digital technology and education. Introduction: It is evident digital technology has an impact in the education sector. Effects are as improved education systems and student attainments in academics. This report will highlight the future trends in use of technology in education. Technology is part of human life. Many policy makers still have not decided whether to join education and technology together (Collins 56). Learning centers have to approve the use of technology in teaching and learning. Research has shown using technology in providing education has yielded positive results. In America, Prensky argues that there are debates on how education is on the decline, and players in that department ignore most fundamental of its causes (pg1). Technology embedded with education can assist students match with the ever-changing world. The challenge here is to ensure this technology has no negative effect on the student’s life. This report will show how digital technology goes hand in hand and is a very powerful tool in raising the level of literacy. Significance and rationale: This research will highlight how digital education can help education levels improve. It will improve how learners understand various trends in the ever-changing world. The question here is whether technology will enable learning practices improve in their effectiveness. This project will enable parents undergo technological training, for them to assist their young ones. Children will require guidance to make them know how to learn effectively using digital systems. Teachers will be aware of other forms of delivering teaching. One can deliver assignments at a click of a button (Collins 46). Pupils with poor grades get tutorials at any time without the teacher being there. The report will make policy makers formulate policies that join digital education and technology. With the government’s support, this can raise the level of education in America as Prensky says. Players in mathematics and science will be aware of the best method to teach those subjects for students to understand better. Teachers will undergo refresher training in technology. Skills in technology will help the tutor deliver teaching effectively. The importance of this project is that, people will know use of technology is more successful when used as a supplement instead of it being a replacement for teaching (Jenkins 89). This report will motivate young talents. Students with special skills in programming will develop their ability at a very young age because they will learn about technology at very young age. They will have abundant information on the internet that enables their learning be quick. Technology has a variety of education and does not limit students to one person’s opinion (Prensky 2-4). Scope of the report: This project will cover the importance of education to the society. It will highlight how important education can be to the future generation. It will cover the extent at which technology has advanced. Digital systems are always changing; it will never be constant (Selwyn 89-91). It will cover the effects digital technology has on the education. The effects are both positive and negative. This project will show what role each player in the education and technology field has. The players are policy makers in the technology sector and teachers in the education sector. The project will also cover the problems encountered when trying to match technology and education. It will cover the methods used to get information about technology and education. It will cover the tasks required to complete the project. Method There are various methods used to get information about digital technology and technology. Survey Questionnaire was the preferred option. (i) What can the local government do to you to access digital technology? (j) What can your teachers do to help you achieve your technological target? (k) How much money do you require to get started in your ambition, in life? (l) Will you be satisfied learning using the internet? (m) What is your ability of understanding educational courses? (n) Can you drop out of school due to negative things acquired from the internet? (o) Are your parents well in technological skills? One of them is travelling to schools in the area. This will help evaluate the number of students or pupils equipped with technological skills. The teachers will get questions concerning technology to estimate their level of understanding. There will be the purchase of snacks and drinks to give the children. It will cheer them up and they will get to know the importance of technology. They will also answer questions correctly and accurately. A purchase of a camera is important. Cameras help capture important data as the types of computers people use. This data is important for policy makers to assist them in planning technological changes. Consulting with government officials is a task to do. They are important because their support is so crucial. Library visits is important. This will give information about technological advancements. Another task is keeping in touch with other researchers of digital technology and education. Comparisons of our projects will yield a common conclusion. Another task is the investigation of new software. Technology is daily changing and to keep in pace, new technology ideas have to come in place. Wider reading is important to complete this project. Informal talks, as brainstorming is important. It will bring new ideas to complete the project. Attendance at conferences and seminars is a task. It will give additional information about the main subject of this report. Having the best information about technology is very important. The project will have a quick completion because focus will be there. Keeping the web page is an important task. It will give information about trending issues affecting education and technology. The project will be complete after all this tasks are completed. The most important task is to get an own time for serious thinking. Finding time will make the report more accurate. The significance of the report will reach the target audience quicker. Problems There are many problems encountered in writing the proposals. Most respondents give incomplete information. This information cannot connect digital technology and education. Some respondents answer with rudeness. They become abusive. This is due to their mood at that time of interview. Some government offices require appointments. This is time consuming. The report requires information from all age groups. Getting information from young children can be troublesome. Some require gifts as sweets, which are expensive, and others start to cry when asked questions. The cost of travelling from one place to another is expensive. Getting the same answer from many people is a problem. This makes ideas in the report shallow. The battery for camera requires constant charging. It may be off at a place where information needs capturing. The report will be missing some important information. Another problem is language barrier. Some correspondents may not understand English, and they got crucial information. Speaking in sign language will not deliver accurate information.
