The subsequent development of science and technology has also created a direct effect on people’s daily lives and in societal life at large. For instance, it has made communication quite possible and easy from one part of the world to the other between people.
Computer benefits are so many. Besides the application importance in the various sectors as has been discussed above, it also has its advantages on its use. These advantages include; error-free results, impartiality, easy data access, data multitasking and multiprocessing capabilities, larger storage capacities for all information processed in just a small space, and consistency in data processing, storage and retrieval.
Computers are highly expensive for the poor. This is by considering its initial purchasing costs and other external devices which may be necessary for a successful performance of tasks such as printing and faxing e.t.c. They have also led to increased data piracy (Mandelblit B., 2001). When computer devices are interconnected within a network structure that is not appropriately protected, hackers are likely to get access to the networking protocol and access any data that is either stored on the computers or being transmitted via the network links.
Computer introduction and implementation in institutions have resulted in increased unemployment for those who are computer illiterate. Besides, computer introduction and use in any organization have led to the retrenchment of quite another organizational staff because of the drift from manual operations and information management to digital operations and data processing and storage. Huge data and information can at times be lost in case of negligence and lack of any backup and recovery systems for the information already stored in the computers. ...Download file to see next pages Read More

Computer Interface Introduction The “Human Computer Interaction” is commonly defined as the “discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive computing systems for human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them” (Gaines, 1988). Sensor based human computer interactions can be listed in chronological order of technology advancement as follows; Pen-Based Interaction, mouse & keyboard, joysticks, motion tracking sensors & digitizers, haptic sensors, pressure sensors and taste/smell sensors (Mehrotra & Deore, 2012). User experience can be vastly enhanced by incorporating multiple sensors into virtual environments because people can...

Human Brain and Computer

...Computer Impacts on Human Life... Computer Impacts on Human Life... Brain Verses Computer Psychologist and other scientists have compared the brain to different inventions all through the history. As computers became more widespread in the 1950s and 1960s, scientists began to highlight the similarities between brains and computers. For instance, the brain has been said to be like a water clock and a telephone switchboard in earlier days. Today, the brain is compared to a computer. This metaphor is used by some people to say that the computer is better than the brain whereas others say that the brain is better than the computer. Indeed both brain and computer have its own benefits and limitations. Possibly, it can be said that the brain is better...

Interface Human-Computer Interface Haptic feedback Before elucidating haptic feedback, it is of significance to define the term human-computer interface. Human-computer interaction refers to the communication, contact, and relations between human beings and computers (Bourg and Bywalec, 2013). It is imperative to note that there have been numerous methodical investigations conducted over the recent past to find out the scope in which computers have been designed to interact with human. These investigations have shown the need for the creation of innovative designs geared towards improving human-computer interaction. Bourg and Bywalec (2013) defines haptic feedback as "The metho...
