Analytics, Interfaces, and Cloud Technology Auction Analytics’ most essential day-to-day business objective is to deliverhigh quality web analytics services to our clients. It is however vital to note that, achievement of this goal or objective especially in our current speedy advancing technological world, Auction Analytics has to stay in touch with all crucial technological advancements (Hill, 2013). To be precise, a wide number of companies all around the globe have always been promoting their competitive advantage through the adoption of Analytics and Cloud Technology. In fact, Analytics and Cloud Technology has become one of the most essential elements for the success of any company in the global market. In this sense, the notion of coming up with a strategic plan on the implementation of Analytics, Interfaces and Cloud Technology is a subject of great concern in promoting the success of Auction Analytics (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). In simple terms, Analytics and cloud technology is composed of an online service model, which is about systematic analysis of online data captured and presented over a private or public cloud network (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). For our company, Auction Analytics, adoption of this technology can add immense value on the quality of services we offer to our clients. The plan in implementing this technology at our company has to be based on use of a public cloud technology where any user all around the globe can access information and his or her details captured for analysis. The application of public cloud network is very important in increasing our customer base as it paves way for users all around the globe to connect to the service (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). Alongside this should be the company’s private cloud network, which acts as a virtual private network where only our company employees can access a prescribed set of information. The private cloud network offers crucial security advantages necessary for protecting our company data and private information from any unauthorized access (Hill, 2013). It is vital to make it clear that the term cloud technology engrosses a networking technological feature where a company’s applications, services and information or resources are made available online using cloud-computing servers. The main objective in the use of cloud technology revolves around provision of services that play a huge role in ensuring the satisfaction of three crucial properties of a quality computer system. These are confidentiality, integrity and availability. Furthermore, the technology is also very essential in providing easily manageable and scalable computer systems. In simple terms, cloud technology offers a significant number of advantages, which include, higher data storage volume, enhancing the security and functionalities of the computer system, along with ensuring that a company is at a good competitive position in the global market (Hill, 2013). This project design document therefore lays major emphasis on presenting the necessity to implement Analytics, Interfaces and Cloud Technology at our company. In ensuring that the implementation of the above technology becomes successful, much more emphasis has been laid on the lately used data analysis technology namely Analytics-As-A-Service (Hill, 2013). Analytics-as-a-Service is a new service delivery model used by most advanced data analysis organizations. This technology makes good use of cloud technology to aid in provision of business insights without the need to invest much in infrastructure enhancements (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). As mentioned earlier in the outline, the notion of adopting Analytic, Interfaces and Cloud Technology is a subject that can add immense value on the competitive advantage of our company, Auction Analytics. As a data analytics company that provides a wide set innovative business integration solutions such as information Assurance, Cyber Security, Insider Threat, the adoption of the Analytics, interfaces and cloud technology is undoubtedly very imperative in promoting our competitive advantage particularly in the global market (Hill, 2013). Additionally, analytics services and storage volumes are always on the rise daily. The implementation of cloud technology can largely aid Auction Analytics in that it provides several large volumes of secure virtual storage locations (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). Primarily, Auction Analytics need for the implementation of the Analytics, Interfaces and Cloud Technology is influenced by the desire to promote our competitive advantage in not only the United States but also all around the globe (Hill, 2013). With the ability to provide more comprehensive analytics data, it is clear that Auction Analytics’ position in the market is very high. The higher the demand the higher our storage volumes are put into use. This necessitates the need for a data warehouse, which works perfectly well with the Analysis-as-a-Service technology (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). A data warehouse is a very important tool, which delivers huge, scalable and flexible storage volumes. Adoption of the Analytics-as-a-Service technology provides a great room for more data to be processed accurately and very fast. This is always very crucial in increasing customer satisfaction since their web analytics service requirements can speedily be captured online and be processed within a short time frame. Consequently, Auction Analytics will be in a great position to process huge volumes of quality services resulting into more clients attracted to our company (Hill, 2013). At Auction Analytics, there have been several cases where our company server is low. This due to some scheduled maintenance and other forms of security configurations on the main company Analytics system. The result of this is that there comes several moments where we offer no services. This is clearly a drawback to our goal of always being available for our customers. However, through adoption of analytics-as-a-service and cloud technology our operations will always be available to our customers at all times. In general, the use of Cloud technology helps in creation of virtual storage spaces to run our applications and ensure that the necessary resources are available to our clients all day long, which is crucial in promoting availability and continuity of our day-to-day services (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). The adoption of the Analytics, Interfaces and Cloud technology is of great benefits to the management and employees of Auction Analytics. This technology offers a well-configured capability where an authorized user can access, monitor and make updates on the operations of a company even when in another country or abroad. In general, this technology aids a lot in promoting teleworking, which is essential in ensuring that all workers do their best in finishing their company duties even when at home (Hill, 2013). It is essential to clarify that disaster recovery has been one of the huge challenges that Auction Analytics has been always trying to avoid. However, it is clear that, it is usually very hard to anticipate when exactly a particular disaster will take place on company’s information system. Therefore, Auction Analytics has been in a great danger specifically in planning to recover from disasters. In this sense, the adoption of this technology is of great importance since cloud computing takes care of this challenge. This is achieved by the availability of virtual private storage spaces in the cloud network from which company resources can be recovered in case of any disaster (Hugos and Hulitzky, 2011). Lastly but definitely not the least, Auction Analytics will enjoy immense security benefits from the implementation of the analytic and cloud technology. Server maintenance is one of the most important services offered by the cloud technology. This maintenance includes services such as installation of latest security updates to servers of a company. These updates are usually of standard quality and recent enough to deter any targeted attacks by hackers or viruses. To aid in ensuring that this design document is much simpler to understand, a significant number of design diagrams are included in the appendix. As indicated in appendix 1, a quality workflow diagram has been presented. The diagram provides a bird’s eye view of the interactions between a client and the company computer system, which is composed of the analytics system integrated into the cloud technology. Major emphasis has been laid on the user log in to the company cloud portal and then data captured and processed by the analytics system. In appendix 2, three vital user interfaces that the targeted users are expected to interact with have been provided. Firstly, it is the user login interface into the company cloud portal. Here, a user gains authorization to access the company cloud-based resources and details. The second interface is for the company representative to create and schedule reports of the visitors on different analytics web sites. The third interface presents real time information about visitors on different sites that are under analysis. Securing our firm’s competitive advantage through the use analytics and cloud technology is the main motivation factor at Auction Analytics. To aid in achieving this goal, it recommended that Bat Blue Networks be made the solution provider of the technology. The company provides BlueNET Virtual Wide Area Network, which is based on the cloud technology. The solutions at the company are available at realistic prices and offer consistent performance. In addition to this, the company’s cloud computing technology is highly reliable, offers broader diversity and high standard security configuration features (Hill, 2013).
