Questions and Answers

Question 1. Discuss strategies to enhance employee motivation.Employee's motivation is believed to be one of the main functions of the activity of any manager, with whose help it has an impact on the enterprise's personnel. Any attempt to improve productivity and impact the labor is to be characterized by the decisive role, which is mainly played by the human factor (communication, cooperation, coordination, participation, commitment, etc.) (Rahman, Mondol & Ali, 2013). Managers are always conscious of the need to encourage people to work for the organization. The importance of understanding the issues of motivation is due to the fact that human behavior is one factor that hinders the effective use of other performance enhancing measures.

Having mastered the modern models of motivation, the manager can greatly expand their capabilities in attracting educated employees, provided the worker to perform tasks designed to achieve the organization's objectives. Material motivation of labor is the most versatile means of motivation. Subordinates must believe in the existence of a clear link between pay and heir

performance (Skudiene & Auruskeviciene, 2012). In particular, they have to be aware of the fact that the increase in productivity will lead to higher wages. Studies have shown, however, that although the majority of managers proclaim their commitment to pay for the end result, but in practice they compensate the employee effort expended in accordance with the experience and the time spent at work – thus, this is not based on the performance results achieved. One of the most common methods of motivation are quarterly or monthly bonuses and awards, as well as the award for long service.
