The paper "Challenges Facing Global International Human Resource Management Practices" is an engrossing example of coursework on human resources. In the course of the past two decades, various practitioners and academicians of international management have steered their attention towards the impact that is exhibited by globalization with regards to the management of human resources across various national boundaries. As a result of this, many international businesses have turned their attention towards issues such as managing in other cultures, expatriate management as well as operating in a diverse multicultural workforce. With more markets adapting to international human resource-based practices, more businesses have now been subjected to expand their operations across various national borders (Stahl, 2006). Amidst these occurrences, the importance of international human resource management practices from a global perspective has become the center of attention.

International human resource management (IHRM) is a process, which involves procurement, allocation, and effective utilization of human resources in any multinational corporation (Albrecht, 2001, p.12). With regards to a global scenario, human resource managers in firms are subjected to two conflicting strategic objectives that they must achieve. To start with, the managers must ensure that they integrate the human resource practices and policies across different countries through their subsidiaries in order to achieve the corporate objectives. Secondly, the human resource managers deal with employee groups from various cultural backgrounds (Essler, 2008). Thus, the managers must try to coordinate both procedures and policies from the home country, host country, and third-country nationals.

A successful global international human resource management requires a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of human resources in a global context. These aspects include cultural, political, ethical, economic, and legal differences, which exist among different nations and their people. Every Human resource manager must have knowledge regarding the factors that best suit and motivate individuals from various countries as well as their influence on international assignments.
