Introduction I am a person who can easily be motivated. There is only one simple thing that motivates me and that is to find things that make me happy. I worried most of the time but I am trying to erase this from myself. I work this out and hopefully soon, I will be someone new, with personalities that are strong enough to combat the challenges of life. I can easily be handled as far as controlling me is concerned. However, I am a type of person that would stand on my ground and with that, I can also handle people with a sense of authority and power. I always believe in myself and always positive with things around. I believe that there are no things that are impossible for as long as one believes that he or she can do it. I do not want to push myself to the limit. However, I always believe in everything I do. I always check my capacity and I am beginning to understand the things that I love and those that I hate. It is not easy to understand ourselves. In fact, there are some quite times when I try to listen to myself only to find out that there are such many things that I still need to know more about me. In fact, there are some times when all I need to do is to stay calm and listen further to all the things that make me who I am. All of these only prove that there are still many things that I need to learn more about myself. There are many ways that we need to understand about ourselves and even I am admitting to the fact that there are still many things that I need to learn about myself. There are many ways in order to do it. One thing that is very common is what is commonly known as self-evaluation. In the following sections, I was able to discuss clearly some of my basic personalities and everything related about me. The following sections are ways of gauging me and understanding more about me as part of my self evaluation. A. I.A.1: What’s My Basic Personality? Score and interpretation Extraversion – 8 Agreeableness – 11 Conscientiousness – 12 Emotional stability – 10 Openness to experience – 7 In order to determine how low or high the scores are, the following cutoffs for each dimension can help quantify scoring information as far as its interpretation is concerned. 12-15 points – high 7-11 points – moderate 3-6 points – low Dimension for extraversion has 8 points which belongs to moderate score classification. This means that I am on moderate level when it comes to sociability, assertiveness and my talkativeness with others. This also means that I am midway to being extravert or introvert. In other words, I have the flexibility to adapt to both extreme when it comes to sociability, assertiveness and talkativeness. Dimension for agreeableness has 11 points and just like extraversion, the score belongs to moderate classification. When it comes to being good-natured, cooperative and trusting, I am moderate and this further means that my tendency to argue with others is based on consideration of what gives harmony with others and my way of thinking. This means that I have enough consideration on valuing information before making my stand and argue with others. Though, I am not excellent on this dimension, I can say that since I am midway to both extreme, I still am susceptible to focus on either of them. Dimension for conscientiousness has 12 points and this can be considered excellently high score based on the point system. This means that I am responsible enough, dependable, persistent and achievement oriented person. I value the purpose of what I am doing especially if it is highly related to my goals in life. Thus, I am not easily distracted while pursuing my goals. Dimension for emotional stability has 10 points which is on moderate level in the scoring system. Someone with high emotional stability is calm, enthusiastic and secure. With a moderate level score I cannot exactly say that I have positive emotional stability or negative emotional stability because I am midway to these both extremes. This would only mean that there is still a need to improve things when it comes to obtaining positive emotional stability. Dimension for openness to experience has 7 points which is on moderate level in the scoring system. I am moderate when it comes to being imaginative, artistically sensitive and intellectually stimulated. This means that I still am midway to having appreciation on innovation and staying with what seems to be familiar with me. I still need more improvements when it comes to increasing my interest with novelty and innovation. In other words, I still am not innovative enough to be excellent when it comes to innovation. Actions to take to better myself In the first place, I need more improvement on the basic dimensions of my personality with moderate scores such as on extraversion, agreeableness, emotional stability and openness to experience. In the case of extraversion, I need to further enhance my sociability and this means that I need more time to go along with others. Being good natured, cooperative and trusting are not easy and in order to achieve them all, it is important to learn to apply them in everyday life. This means that I have to add them to the list of things that I should do everyday. Keeping a positive emotional stability on the other hand has something to do with maintaining a positive outlook in life. Then finally, I have to learn to ignite and improve my passion for knowledge and artistic things so as to improve my openness to experience. B. I.A.4: How Well Do I Handle Ambiguity? Score and interpretation My score is 47 for this item. From this score, I can say that I am tolerant enough of ambiguous situations. The good thing about this score is that it indicates that I even enjoyed situations with ambiguity. I most likely enjoy them as promising rather than threatening on my part. Today, it is important for me to carry this inside strength since the world is very dynamic and requires one to move in a faster pace. This also requires someone to even function clearly well at work even such consists ambiguity. With my score, I can say that I need to clearly find clarity and structure for my future knowing that I am intolerant to ambiguity. Actions to take to better myself As mentioned earlier, my being tolerant to ambiguous situations also implies that I enjoyed ambiguous situations that to the extent I may forget to clearly define a structure for my future. This can be a disadvantage. My way to improve myself is to be able to organise things so as for me to be able to come up with clear structure for my future. I may be able to withstand ambiguous situations but the problem is that it may encompass the clear path of my future’s direction. With this, I may have to learn to organise things clearly. I have to list all priorities and sort them out. Sorting them requires from my part to categorise short term goals and long term goals for instance. In this way, even if I am tolerant to ambiguous situations it may not mean that my life will no longer have a clear direction in the future. C. I.C.1. What Motivates Me? Score and interpretation Growth needs - 19 Relatedness needs – 18 Existence needs – 18 The maximum score for each level of need should be 20. From my score, it seems that I am almost reaching all my growth needs. This means that I have almost encountered opportunities related to improving my self especially those things corresponding to my job and daily activities. On the other hand, my relatedness needs are almost all satisfied. This means that my relationship with others when it comes to work is satisfying and does not have any significant problem at all. Finally, my existence needs are also satisfied. This means that for instance, I may not be asking for more when it comes to my financial needs. Everything seems to be almost satisfied fully. Actions to take to better myself Almost all of my essential needs in life are satisfied and with that comes my contentment in life. For me to be able to go to the next level, I need to set another standard so as for me to be able to experience another set of needs to pursue. In this way, I can improve the status of my life and obtain significant goals regarding my growth needs, relatedness needs and existence needs. This is just a matter of setting my own standard to the next level so as to also obtain another level of needs in life. Specifically, doing this requires that I should never stop dreaming things that are not hard enough for me to achieve. D. I.D.2. Am I a Procrastinator? Score and interpretation My score is 40 and the maximum possible score is 52. This seems to imply that I am prone to procrastinate. Which means further that I am prone to delay decisions or life activities. This implies that I need to set deadlines; I need to start whatever things need to be done especially on a timely manner. These are just some possible implications about my score and I have to give a great deal of courage to learn not to procrastinate in any way. Actions to take to better myself I am prone to procrastinate. Accepting it requires me to set strategic actions in order to eliminate probable problems in the future which will be possibly ignited by procrastination. First, I need to define my goals or objectives in life clearly and substantially as possible. Second, I need to set deadlines for them and I have to strictly learn to stick to it. This can be simply done by following the simple format of time management. Then finally, I should never stop visualising how good things are if they have to be done on time. E. I.B.3. How Satisfied Am I With My Job Score and interpretation My score is 80 and the maximum possible score is 100. Looks like am satisfied with my job. This further implies that this is exactly how I feel about my present job. This score is substantial enough to justify that my current satisfaction with my present job is remarkably good. This satisfaction with my job can be clearly justified by how my needs are satisfied. Actions to take to better myself Job satisfaction seems to be a need. This particular need has been satisfied on my part. In order to continue this level of satisfaction or even increase it, I have to learn to be contented and at the same time, I have to learn to recreate things. This means that I need to create various things to prevent me from getting bored with what I already have. Satisfaction is very important but this at some point will prevent enthusiasm. Thus, it is important that with satisfaction, I have to learn to appreciate more things no matter how ordinary or common they are to me. In this way, I will be able to enjoy each day of my work and that I will be able to appreciate it even more. Read More
