The basics of philosophic trends, which still exist, were created.

The system of education worked out in Ancient Greece became the basis of classical education in modern Europe. Ancient Greeks were the founders of European theatre, created many genres of literature, made many discoveries in the fields of architecture and sculpture. Many ideas and masterpieces belong to them. The city life organized by ancient Greeks had a noticeable influence on the European way of life of the next generations.
In the area of politics ancient Greeks worked out the number of basic categories: the citizen of Rome with certain rights and obligations, freedom as an independence of one person from another, democracy as a political system that provided citizens with the opportunity to take part in the state regulation. The notions of “harmonious personality” and “European humanism” were also created by Greeks (Hall, 2007).Works CitedHall, Jonathan M. A History of the Archaic Greek World, ca. 1200-479 BCE.
