History tells about another invasion said to have started as early as 712 (Thorpe and Showick, 2011). The invaders were led by the leader Muhammad Bin Qasim, who fought and won the war on Sikh land. This occurred a short while after the start of the Islamic religion in other parts of the Arabic land. The religion was spread by the Arabs as they moved and fought kingdoms that tried to resist them, including Iran, Afghanistan, and India. The author shows that Arabs came to the land of India through the northwest region, which happened after talks with Buddhist leaders who wanted to help to fight Buddhist non-believers. This was an opportunity for the Islamic religion to enter and take over Buddhism kingdoms. Mohammed Qasim, who was asked for help to fight Buddhism non-believers fought and won the war of Rewar in 712. The rule of Mohammed Qasim was followed by Turkish rule led by Mahmud Ghazni in the ninth century after the death of Mohammed Qasim. Mahmud Ghazni’s reason for invading India was to spread the Islamic religion and the richness of Indian temples. Ghazni fought non-Muslim religions and destroyed their temples. Thorpe et al (2011) show that Mahmud and his soldiers destroyed Hindu temples in the year 1026, for example, the temple of Somnath brought down by Mahmud was the precious Hindu temple situated on the coast of Kathiawar southern part.

Furthermore, Muhammad Ghori also invaded India between the 1175 and 1206 centuries, and he spread the Islamic religion in Peshawar after the invasion. The war continued which saw the capture of Punjab after a fierce fight with the khusrau king. Hindus who were captured in the war were either killed or spared if they converted to Islam. This happened during the invasions of Muslim leaders like Qutb ud-din Aibak. Additionally, Islamic religion converters used another method of introducing taxes to non-Muslim religions, which forced Hindus to choose the Islamic religion to avoid the taxes imposed on them. Islamic religion was chosen by Hindus only to avoid clashing with Islam, but only for a short time, when the Muslim sultans were away they turn back to their original religion (Thorpe and Showick, 2011).

The Arabs used a lot of force in their fight and they were strong and united, which gave them an opportunity over the Hindus.  Muslims condemn idolatry and this led to the destruction of many idols in temples. Due to the act of terrorism imposed on the Hindu people by the Islamic religion, enmity developed between the two religions. They killed anyone on their way who refused to convert to Muslim. The enmity between the two religions shows the division of the whole of India into two, Pakistan in the north is mostly occupied by Muslims, and the southern part is Indian with the majority being Hindus. This was done with the help of the British in 1945 (Thorpe and Showick, 2011).
