Abraham Lincoln was the US’s 16Th leader who encountered the utter side of civil war. This emanates from the information on how he actively participated in wartime. His charismatic nature and diligence compelled him to champion slave abolition. In addition, Lincoln witnessed several servitude injustices that agitated his participation in disregarding the activity. Abraham's participation in warfare entails another aspect that aggravates his eminence. Therefore, this essay seeks to exemplify Abraham’s role during wartime and his ideologies concerning slavery.
As a wartime president, Abraham served as the principal commander of armies (Dirck 20). This entitled him to the obligation of deciding and implementing war policies. For instance, Lincoln devised the Union plan that required armies to liaise toward defeating the opponent. Lincoln also established strategies that guided the militia. This ensured that they operated in unison because of observation of regulations. In addition, Abraham defeated armies that failed to conform to the union. This became possible by mobilizing Union armies that would defeat the Confederate counterparts (Dirck 20). Therefore, the adoption of strategy enabled armies to fight with corporations. He thus ascertained that the North region outdid the war dealings in the southern hemisphere. Lincoln possessed powers over the armies and outplayed orders concerning military executions.
During wartime, Abraham ascertained that Republican Party displayed compactness. This explicates that Lincoln displayed equal treatment on all fronts and culminated in members feeling that the party favored their existence. He also involved efforts in recruiting blacks into the army to ensure fairness. This depicted equality stated in the charter that regulated states. However, his ideology of recruiting blacks faced protests from democrats plus Republicans. This draws explications from issues of race and information that Whites encompassed a superior ranking compared to African Americans. Therefore, Lincoln strategized his military role under the Republican alliance.
In addition to war, Abraham entails depictions of an enthusiastic anti-slave campaigner. He pioneered in counteracting slavery by introducing an emancipation policy (Myers 726). The policy meant that those owning enslaved people to free them. This measure aimed at giving liberty to enslaved men. Therefore, Abraham urged the freeing of slaves and forced those refuting the order to comply. This culminated in slaves enjoying freedom like other natives. Owners deprived of their slaves would gain compensation from President Lincoln. Throughout his presidency, Abraham insisted that owners required compensation once they unchained slaves. Therefore, Lincoln was a president who ascertained neutrality throughout his leadership (Myers 727). This is, by actions of compensating owners, to ascertain that they placed no complaints. Another reason would be the information that he out-ruled his advisors and generals just to guarantee that justice prevailed. In 1964, Lincoln incorporated modifications to the constitution that abolished slavery dealings (Rierson 767).
After freeing the enslaved men, Abraham advocated for their colonization. Though he proves to be a vivid campaign of anti-slavery, he encompassed racial prejudice. He ascertained that freed slaves faced colonization. This was to establish that slaves, blacks, got civilization. This explicates that Abraham believed that whites encompassed a higher ranking than the black race (Pinsker 420). This exemplifies the reasons culminating in the colonization of freed slaves. This explicates that the slaves would face civilization only under colonization by Abraham’s authorities.
In conclusion, Abraham entails a president who demonstrated massive contributions during wartime. This gains exemplification from the ideology that he sustained the ranking of a chief commander. He participated in a Republican alliance during his era. In addition, Lincoln sought to alter attitudes held regarding slaves. This was by ascertaining freedom and liberation of enslaved people. He also championed anti-slavery progresses by drafting a constitution that culminated in its abolition. There entailed an emancipation policy that forced those possessing slaves to guarantee them liberty. In addition, Abraham ascertained that feed slaves faced colonization. This issue poses criticism from many scholars.
