Republican candi opportunity for success The 36th congressional district of California has top two primary systems. The system encourages top two vote-getters regardless of the party of affiliation to go on to the general elections. The district leadership is currently under the democrat party, and they retook it in the just concluded by elections. However, the district is to republican ideology as such there is a strong indication that the next election will be competitive, but the republicans have a better change of winning the elections based on the current and past performances of the elected members of the democrat party. The development of the blanket primary was as a result of the enactment of the Top two candidates Open Primary Act. The rule of the law was to develop a system that encourages competition among the participants and encourage the development of increased participation between the people of California. The act gives an opportunity for a candidate to advance into the general elections using the majority votes (Arnold 56). However, the law has not lived up to its expectation because of several challenges. It increased election spending because the election campaign period was extended to one year. From the research, conducted on the new enactment may lead to the development of increased power of the particular interest groups that fund the participants. The resultant effect of the blanket primary was the establishment of the same party candidates battling in the general elections which affected the success of the parties in the election process (Karol 43). In the past elections, the democrats had seven candidates, and it led to increased competition. The political history of California District The district was created in 3rd January 1963 and has redistricted several times since its creation. However, the political climate of the district indicates strong affiliation to the Republican Party. The first two representatives were from the Republican Party, but were later followed by a reign of two Democratic representatives. Since then, the district has oscillated between republican and democrat and is currently under the leadership of Janice Hahn a democrat. Looking back at the last elections republicans led to the development of ideas and strong belief that the next election will have a republican representative taking over. The democrat reign in the House of Representatives will come to an end in the next election because there is a likelihood of the voters to change party from Democrat to Republican. However, from the trend illustrated above there is a high likelihood of the voters, to vote in a republican representative. However, on the recent times,, the Democrat has benefited in winning the house of representative several times because of the consistency developed (Bishin 34). However, the population is getting tired with the increasing democratic representation. However, one vital issue evident in the election is that the president, governor, and house of representative votes of the district has shown similarities in the sense that; in most cases, they vote in the same party for president and governors. The success of the whole process of the campaign will be dependent on the ability to address issues of governance such as leadership and development. The success of a candidate depends on the ability to address the issues of the district differently from the set performance. Success will be if the candidate offers insight into the social issues. Current situation of the district The district was the 9th competitive congressional primaries in 2012 with the focus being the focus of the situation is based on the ability to solve the district problems. The success of the current candidates is based on the successful campaign process developed by the candidate. The success of the candidates in articulating the social issues was vital model for success. For a Republican Party candidate with the focus to win the next election, he must focus on the social issues and address party focus in the district. However, the party has suffered several issues in the past that has made it a serious problem for the republican a candidate. The new candidate must be able to address issues of leadership and development and improve the party image for the purposes of winning the elections (Arnold 124). The future of the party is bright having the seen the failure of the Democrat party to deal with the social problems affecting the congressional district. The failures of the party to handle the issues in the society can be used in the campaign process to achieve success. The major issue in the society is youth unemployment, which can be solved by reviewing the rules and regulations of California. The California state has several opportunities that can be used positively to solve the problem of unemployment. The campaign budget For the candidate to be successful, he or she should develop a plan that must be intricate. Success in the campaign can be achieved by handling the details in society, such as, the development of the various campaign issues that could be addressed in the process part association. The party has a massive following, but the problem has been on the presentation of the issues and the problems solving techniques. The major challenge for the whole process is the inability to address the intricate issues of the community. The current challenge is the improvement of the party image and development of a stronger conservative front that must be addressed and handled with absolute clarity and confidence. The candidate will require about $3 Million with the amount beingspent on immobilization and education of the population. The new approach has the main focus on the campaign issues and creation of the agendas for the district (Karol 109). As a candidate, the power or oratory skills and the ability to express opinions and ideas with clarity and appeal will be of vital importance. The failure of the past candidates has been on the failure to appeal to the masses. Age is an issue in the current set because the perception of leaderships has changed drastically. For instance, the presidency has younger aspirants who have succeeded such as the current president. The age appeal has been a serious stumbling block for the Republican Party. From the presidency to the representative elections the party has the tendency to select older aspirants who are not appealing for the youth. With my candidature, a young man of 39 years, it is easier to appeal to the public and achieve greater success in the elections. The use of focus groups in the whole process will facilitate the development of information sharing and increase lobbying among the society members. The success of the candidate will depend on the plan developed. The plan of action and campaign must be able to address the issues of the society and compete with the policies and agendas of the Democratic counterpart. The next election will prove challenging for the Democrat party if the Republican candidate can present himself as the change desired by the people of the district (Karol 94). The success of the campaign and the candidate will depend on the ability to use focus groups, campaign rallies and the use of social media platforms. Social media platforms present an area and opportunity for strategy development. Social media offers the opportunity to present issues that will be in the campaign. The success of the whole process will depend on the ability to keep the supporters updated and informed on the new challenges that could be addressed by the candidates. However, the candidates must be able to develop positive rapport when using social media because it has massive influence on the election process. To solve the problem, the candidate must have exhibited high integrity and success in the past job positions to increase the public confidence on his candidature (Karol 78). Strategy development must include other issues that could be addressed easily. The success of the campaign process will depend on the articulation of the agenda items. Candidates in the next election will succeed if they are able to develop the crowd pull with increased affinity and affiliation. The democrats can be defeated in the next election if the candidate presents the agenda in a prolific and effective. Conclusion The success of the candidate will only depend on the ability to present the issues in a critical and appealing way. After the success of the democrat, in the past three elections, there is a high probability of a republican candidate succeeding in the coming election. The success of the republican candidate will be possible through enough funding of the campaigns and the development of the necessary interpersonal skills. Just like marketing, the candidate must market himself as the problem solver for eh elections thus facilitate the chances of success. To succeed effectively, the campaign team must be able to identify the critical agendas for the district and use the agendas as the platform for change and implementation of the need for candidate change and party change. With proper planning and execution of the plan, it will be easy for the republican candidate to win the next elections. Works Cited Arnold, Douglas. The Logic of Congressional Action.
