Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the 32nd president of America, was a central figure in the world events during the early 20th century. According to Roosevelt, there are foundational ideological similarities and differences linking the two parties. The Democrats follow a policy of liberalism while the Republicans follow a policy of conservative. Before being elected as the United States President, Roosevelt in his ambitious speech which he delivered at San Francisco commonwealth club outlined his ideas about fundamental historical changes, which required new relations between the government, the economy and the citizens.

He underlined several new deals and initiatives in his speech. Roosevelt's strongest foundation in the densely populated state made him the obvious contestant for the nomination of the Democratic, which was passionately contested by Herbert Hoover. Roosevelt’s differences are still relevant in today’s era in that it concentrated on his strategy of the immediate relief. The new deal measures include the continuation of Hoover’s relief program for the unemployed and hiring of unemployed young individuals to work on the local and rural projects.

The new deal was a sequence of economic programs put into practice in the US between 1933 and 1939. The deals were passed by the Congress of the US during Roosevelt’s first term. . The Republicans were split, opposing the whole economic program as an enemy of growth and business. According to Herbert Hoover, the programs and new deal goals outraged several conservative Americans. He was blamed for neglecting the suffering of the poor Americans during his period in power. He accused the new deal of violating fundamental American ideas of liberty.

In his speech during the campaign period, he expressed the deeply held beliefs of several conservatives that the new deal undermined rather than exemplified the promise of America. Americans are still aware that the idea of equal opportunities for all is a false promise, but none of the two seem to understand it. The republicans hardly admit that the problem of equality exists. Despite various cuts in tax over the past 40 years, the ability of people to rise out of their own class has drastically reduced.

In spite of the uncertainty of their goals, Democrats differ that deregulation and cuts in tax are the solution. As an alternative, they disagree that the state should warranty equal opportunities for all citizens. For instance, cheap, job training and publicly available education are all necessary on the grounds that all American citizens should have the relevant skills to compete, and that the market labor should care for everyone equally. The U S’ economy is a mix of economies. Roosevelt believed that the United States Government has a prevailing effect on its economy in stabilization and growth.

Most significantly, the federal government controls the largely swiftness of economic activity, trying to keep up the high levels of employment, price stability and steady growth. By adjusting tax rates, it can speed up or slow down the economy's rate of growth, hence in the process,
