There are two main different types of arthritis, namely the osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis (Lorig, Fries & Gecht, 2000). However, there are other similar conditions depending on the effect of the condition on the patient. The main problem with the arthritis condition is that, it is a long-term condition that to some extent reflects itself as a disability on the patient. Arthritis condition over the years continues to evolve in its defect and the understanding from the professional continuum. Notably, the common signs and symptoms of the arthritis condition includes characteristics such as swollen joints, pain in the joints and in advanced stages, a disability of the appendages (Lorig, Fries & Gecht, 2000). The condition in its entirety does not have an established cure, although previous research reports show that at the early stages, it is manageable. However, at the advanced stages and depending on the age of the patient, the interventions available entail only managing the condition so that the patient lives a healthy life. The condition as it impairs the patient health; it can render them completely disabled (Lorig, Fries & Gecht, 2000). Additionally, the impact at the social level also entails affecting the family members and those caring for the patient with the condition. The costs incurred in facilitating the treatment procedures for the patient are extremely high. The management of the condition requires regular therapy sessions as well as continued medication to avert the pain. Moreover, for the persons that chose to have surgery as an alternative treatment, the costs are notably high. Thus, the arthritis condition is remarkably dangerous condition, and can adversely change the life of the patient. Thus, observing from these aspects of the arthritis health condition, this research protect seeks to establish the prevalence of the condition among the various ages of individuals. I also seek to establish the people at higher risk of suffering the condition depending on their lifestyles. Current Background The arthritis condition affects a wide range of the various ages of the people. notably the disorder causes an inflammatory effect on the joints of the hands and feet, and in varied aspects can cause waer and tear to the ligaments along the joints affected. From their findings, it is observable that the rate of arthritis affecting the females is 69% compared to the 66% of the males (Myasoedova, Crowson, Kremers, Theneau & Gabriel, 2010). Further, depending on the age considerations of the patients in the case study, it is observable that persons over the age of 50 years are more likely to suffer the case of arthritis compared to those below the 50 years mark. Further, the case of age also reflects among the varied genders, as women at lower age groups remain at higher risk of suffering the condition. In comparison of the two types of arthritis, it is observable that rheumatoid arthritis is at higher risk of infecting the patient compared to osteoarthritis. Moreover, the findings also indicate that the incidence of suffering arthritis has continued to increase over the years, from 1995 to 2007 (Myasoedova, Crowson, Kremers, Theneau & Gabriel, 2010). The cause of the increase according to the findings of this article is unknown. However, it is possible to attribute the increase in the cases to the changing lifestyle among the populations. Notably, the quantitative approach has the advantage of being structured for data that includes statistical analysis. Further, it is notably reliant on the statistical aspects of gathering data, including the use of interviews and questionnaires (Paul, Dianne & Lynne, 2012). The qualitative research method is useful for analyzing data with contextual features, including testing the quality of data used in the research process. Thus, observing that this research entails statistical analysis, the most appropriate technique to employ is the use of the quantitative research design. Sampling The sampling approach to use is random, although it will focus on identifying the target participants, that is the people affected by the arthritis health condition. Stratified random approach to the identification of participants will assist to facilitate a uniform finding, that is unbiased. Research Process Description The research process will entail use of interviews and questionnaires to gather data for the study. after identifying the target population, which is the population affected by arthritis condition, the data collection tools will be administered accordingly to each of them. Thus, following the findings of the study as conducted, the recorded data will be taken for discussion and analysis to produce the final expected report from the study. Ethical Issues The process of conducting the survey reflects accordingly in the factors for consideration. The main issues emanate from the security considerations with regard to the privacy of the participants in the process. Notably, the patients may be unwilling to participate actively in the survey as it their health status is personal matter (Babbie, 2009). Further, in considering the security of the data gathered, it is notable the use of such personal data requires extensive caution. Therefore, for the procedural survey process to work accordingly, it is essential to facilitate the participants with proper briefing for their confidentiality. Further, assuring the patients and emancipating them accordingly will be essential factors for consideration. Moreover, it is essential to initiate the relevant authorities as well as the participants for their permission to conduct the research process (Babbie, 2009). Meeting the standards for authenticity of the research process while maintaining the ethical conduct is dependent on the personal discipline I will employ as the research, in addition to adhering to the regulations in place for conducting the research. . Discussion/Conclusion The approach to the research design selected is remarkably useful to the purpose of the proposed research. Therefore, following the various techniques of collecting data that will be employed, harnessing the various data gathered will be essential to the aim of the project. Further, in view of the present background information, it is evident that the proposed has a basis for making the conclusions expected after gathering the information. The literature review formulates the background for the hypothesis, which is positive with respect to the problem identified for the proposed research process. Therefore, after gathering the information and formulating the reports on the findings, action is an elemental part of the study. The procedural dissemination of the findings of the report will extensively depend on the available channels. Notably, the most appropriate channel of disseminating the findings and recommendations is to use the print media to communicate accordingly.
