? Costa Rica and Cambodia Introduction Cambodia Cambodia is a country located in the southern portion of the indo- china peninsular in the Southeast Asia. Initially, it was known as the kingdom of Cambodia. Cambodia has got the population of approximately thirteen million, four hundred thousand people. Cambodia has got the history of instability because of war that was experienced in the country for the long time. It also experienced long periods of political instability. Currently, the country has made the great developments and is now the state of peace decades of war and internal political instability, the country has made great strides and is now undergoing the period of peace. The economy is improving drastically and the process to improve both the human activities is also taking place. The education processes and the medical services are being provided. This is aimed at increasing the human elections are held every five years, most recently in 2008 (Coates, 2005). Costa Rica It was known as the republic of Costa Rica, and it is a country in the Central America. It is bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the south east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the east. It was officially the republic of Costa Rica. The army of Costa Rica terminated existence in the year 1948 under the act of the law. It is only the Latin American country that has the democratic republic. It has been in the list of the American countries that show the human development. It was cited by the united nation development program as one of the country that has attained much higher human development (Bell, 1999). Demographic analysis Demography refers to the population of the given place including its density, ethnicity, education level, health of the people, the economic status, religious affiliations, and the additional religious affiliations. Costa Rica Population. The research of 2009 shows that the population of Costa Rica is 4,579,000 people Urbanization. Sixty percent live in towns Education. Literacy rate is 95.8% Emigration and immigration 3% of the countries people live in other countries. Population density.89.6 hubs /square kilometer. Median age. 27.5 years per total 27.5, male is 27.1. Growth rate is 1.5% in the year 2010. Other factors that have not been considered in this area but are the part of the demography are the birth rate, death rate, net emigration, net migration, sex ratio, infant mortality rate, under five mortality rate, life expectancy at birth, total fertility rate, HIV AIDS, nationality, ethnic group, religion language and literacy (Chandler, 2000). Cambodia The latest data show that Cambodia has got a population of 14,701717 Fertility , is said to be3.0 children per month Infant, and child fertility per month is 45 death per 1000 people Life expectancy, is44.2 years Ethnic groups, are Khmer, Vietnamese, china Language Are The Vietnamese, Chinese, German, Thai, Russia, Japanese, Korean. Religion is Buddhism Health This paper focuses on one aspect of demography known the health. Health is the physical condition of the person. Health refers to the strength or fitness of an individual. When the person is not in hi s normal function of his body, he is said to be ill. Factors affecting the health of the people Diseases are the out standing threat to the e health of the citizens of both the countries. The kingdom of Cambodia is usually affected by a series of diseases. They majorly attarck infants and that is why they likely to die from time to time. The threat of malaria is the outstanding problem in the two countries. Malaria is a common communicable disease tat is caused by mosquitoes. The mosquitoes brood in the areas that have stagnant water. The mosquitoes are hatched in the stagnant water and reproduce eggs. These mosquitoes mostly threaten the pregnant mothers, the infants and the aged (Michael, 2004). This is because; malaria is dangerous and fatal when not correctly treated. The two countries, Cambodia, and the republic of Costa Rica are affected by the threat of malaria that is cost by the mosquitoes. Recently, Cambodia witnessed the high mortality rate as a result of malaria. As aimed at convincing people to sleep under the nets in the republic of Costa Rica. HIV AIDS pandemic is the factor that is also a threat to the health of the people in the republic of Costa Rica. The young energetic people that could have been productive in the two states are affected by the threat of the HIV AIDS pandemic therefore, reducing their competence. The government of the two nations highlights the HIV pandemic as the main threat in the republics. The funds and the resources that the governments of the two states could otherwise use in the development is fetched and used to care for the sick people. Another factor affecting the health of the people of these nations is the poor feeding habits. This is because, most of the residents in this area are poor and they majorly depend on the stable food as the only food. This is not supplementary as it does not satisfy the people and does not contain all the required diet. This is because the human beings should majorly feed on the balanced diet as the way of sustenance. This explains the reason why the children in the republic of Costa Rica are largely affected by deficiency disease. Almost 70% of the children of Costa Rica have are victims of kwashiorkor, marasmus and some of the deficiency diseases. The radio active emission is now a threat in the two states. This is because of the war that hit the two areas for long in some parts are still experiencing the clashes at the moment. Scientist have proved that during the warring time, the weapons that are used does not compose after war but remain affecting the residents of the area since they undergoes a decay known as the radiation decay. This is explained as the half-life and the process and the emissions of the half life affect the genetics of the individuals. The genes of the people undergo any type of change especially when affected by the radioactive emissions. This is also one of the problems that are affecting the two countries. The effects of the emissions may damage the persons future generation as they give birth to an abnormal offspring (Bird, 2004). Overview of the healthcare systems This is a brief explanation of the health care systems of the two countries .the two countries experience the systems of the health that are either varying on one hand or the same. It is evident that the two countries are exhibiting the best health care systems. They are rated as the counties that are developed and this explains why they are equipped with the health facilities. The government in the republic of Costa Rica is in the process of establishing and building the health facilities and the structures. The hospitals are being established in the different areas and the system is being strengthened. The process of upgrading the health facilities is underway and the new staff training is also happening. In spite of the developments in the health care systems, the costs are low and it is not as high as the other countries. The two countries, the republic of Costa Rica and the kingdom of Cambodia have got a relatively cheaper health care system (Bird, 2004). Another back up is in the government of the two countries in the health. The government directs enough capital in the health care of these countries. The intervention of the government is expected two bring in and then employ the skilled professionals and also teach and train the young people how to be health officers. This is because, the government funds are quite a lot to meet the cost of the processes efficiently. Also following the fact that the private sector is taking part in the ensuring of the health development, the health is highly improved. One advantage enjoyed when the private sector enters the health care system is that, it will fetch in different resources that are useful thereby, improving the health of the people (Bird, 2004). The reason is because the individual people usually have got the individual funds to invest in the business and by doing so they end up developing the system of the country. By the private individuals entering the health care, they are expected to bring the best services since they are competing for the more output. The issue of the cosmetic surgery in the republic of Costa Rica and the kingdom of the Cambodia is now a common phenomena. It is now available in the modern reconstructive clinics. The latest technology is also being provided in these clinics nowadays. Most of the clinics in this countries offer the services of the plastic surgery and cosmetic surgeon and in so doing, they enhance the world class surgery. Comparing the prices of the two countries, they are now low than the other countries. Today the dental procedure in Costa Rica and the kingdom of Costa Rica is more improved and developed. It is said that this dentist are as more as any other dentist in the other developed parts of the world. Then these are the best news because the personnel lie these ones were majorly found in Europe and the United States of America. Dental procedure is now the growing procedures of the dental tourism it is expected to bring the first class foreigners who shall bring in the foreign exchange services. Similarly, the patients who wish the treatment do come in the Costa Rica and they are attended to as required. The materials that are used to achieve this are the approved ones and they are imported from the united states of the America. Today the work of laboratory is also clear. Cultural beliefs and practices It is purely an advantage because the culture in this state is agreeing with the developments that are taking place. The culture does not differ like the case of Africa where the developments that were brought from the western countries greatly differed with their developments. The Asians are well known for their immense discoveries and the same way the Americans do invent new items. So if this is at all their culture, then it is definite that they do not differ with the advancements that take lace in the field of health. The only difficult situation is in Africa where even after discovering something, you have to kill an animal to appease the dead. Provision of the healthcare Administration of the health services is not just the idea and the will of the medical officer. A patient is the one who requires the Medicare. It is with the decision and the need of the patient that the administration is offered. It may be offered according to the will of the patient either at home or abroad. And also some cultural norms may be observed (Booth, 1999). Conclusion The kingdom of Cambodia and the republic of Costa Rica are now experiencing peace that the development is taking place at a faster rate. The developments are witnessed in both fields and sectors of life. The most visited in this section is of the health sector. The health sector is improving rapidly and it is expected to be the best even than the ones of the other states like the American states. The states are two of the best administration ever. The mentioning of the cultural beliefs in the field of medicine is the dramatic improvement. It will bring about the administration of the treatment to the wish of the patients thereby reducing the panic and bringing about the prospects of the recovery. The patients are likely to recover without suffering from ailment for long and then loosing a lot of money. The mentioning of plastic surgery shall bring about the major developments in the field of medicine majorly in these countries as it was majorly for the Americans. These scientific practices shall be practiced in this countries thereby bring about the developments. References Bell, J P. (1999). Crisis in Costa Rica: The 1948 Revolution.
