My most appropriate population for use in a research study is the low-income African American women and the research will investigate their access to affordable health care with regard to self-care. The choice of the most appropriate population for a research study identifies two possible independent variables and one dependent variable for a research.

The independent variables are age and level of household income of a participant while the dependent variable is access to affordable health care with regard to self care. With implementation of a quantitative research study, the following research questions can be explored to understand the need for measures to promote healthcare among the population, Is there a significant relationship between age and household income of a woman from African American ethnicity and access to affordable care?
