Why Water Is Our Thirst Quencher Water is a very important and essential requirement in the life of any living organism. Without water, no living organism can live. It will be easier for an animal or any plant to survive hunger but difficult to survive thirst. This is because more than solid and liquid foods, water constitutes the basic building blocks of any fleshed animal or plant. In fact, all foods for animals and plants require water as the basic material for their development, manufacturing or processing. Every organ of organisms in both plant and animal kingdoms rely on water for their development and sustainability as they perform their basic primary and secondary functions. Whenever thirsty, most animals including human beings search for water event if it takes them to cover long journeys to exact points of open and reachable water. Similarly, plants would dry and curl their leaves during dry spells but regain full life during cold or wet seasons. From the above, it is totally arguable that water is the perfect thirst quencher. It is important to note that most of the body organs in human body and any animal works and properly execute their functions when moist. To be moist, the organs must be able to absorb nearly fresh water with little salt concentration. Failure to absorb water will leave the organs dry and at high temperatures. The high temperatures will cause serious burning effect that will work to suffocate that particular animal (Nicholson, 2010). In case of human beings, concentrated drinks like sodas, tea or coffee among others will have insignificant effect when taken during serious thirst. This is due to the significant acidic and sugar contents characterized with most of the drinks. Instead of lowering the body temperatures and in effect moist dry body organs, the acid will increase the burning effect due to thirst. It is also worth noting that most if not all of the concentrated drinks contain numerous chemical substances that may pose threat of poisoning the body. This therefore makes them the worst option a person can regard when thirsty. Instead of supplying plenty of fresh water to the liver and kidney to facilitate the process of detoxification, the drinks will inject more poisons to the body system and eventually paralyze basic physiological processes (Nicholson, 2010). However, there are certain drinks that have low levels of acid concentration but with high water concentration. Such drinks include and not limited to blended fruit juices, which when taken can help reduce thirst. In fact, natural fruits tend to supply consumers with very natural and healthy minerals that cannot compromise the normal body physiological processes. Their quenching effect attributes to the high water content that cools and moistens the burning organs. It is knowledgeable to mention that most of the hard diseases like diabetes, heart failure due to rapid rate of thumping and weight loss relate to inadequate supply of water in the body. To begin with, type II diabetes develops due to incapacitation of insulin to effectively convert excess blood glucose into fats and energy for body functions. It will be more important for any individual with such complication to take large volumes of water to help in neutralizing the high concentration of blood glucose (Neal, 2007). Drinking of concentrated drinks as the alternative solutions to help in quenching thirst will only work towards heightening the level of concentration of blood glucose, thus worsening complications. Heart failure that results due to overworking of the heart is undoubtedly due to low concentration of water in the body. The main function of the heart is to pump oxygenated blood to all parts of the body. The heart works effectively and conveniently when relatively saturated with water and with low acid. The concentration of water in the blood system is likely to decline when the rest of the body including the cells and tissues have little water content and thus absorb water from the blood system. This leaves blood with little supply of water thus the possibility of straining and causing heating effect to the heart when trying to execute its functions (Neal, 2007). The straining and heating effect of the heart then results to serious thirst. If not corrected through drinking of fresh water, the heart may be overworked to cause hypertension that may lead to total heart failure. In conclusion, water is a vital necessity for human beings and all other living organisms. Water is indeed the perfect thirst quencher as it has characteristic cooling, nourishing and soothing effects. The cooling effect of water makes it a perfect solution that can correct and lower body temperatures when dehydrated and overworked. In addition, the neural nature of water makes the best lubricant for most of the moving body organs that produces heating effect when working. More than other drinking solutions, water is the only liquid that tends to neutralize and effectively balance body conditions. Water is therefore the only substance of earth that can effectively and safely quench our thirsts. During the composition of the essay, I encountered challenges that have taught me more techniques that styles of composing an attractive essay. One challenge I encountered related to colleting main points that could satisfy the credibility of the essay. I also found it difficult to start writing as I did not know how and what to start with. However the challenges, I found it simpler to continue with the body of the essay after I managed to constitute the introduction part. From the challenges, I have learnt that no one was born with appropriate skill to develop an attractive essay (Wyrick, 2010). In fact, the best way to become a perfect essay or composition writer is through repeated practice and consultations. Moreover, the phobia to begin a composition or essay is majorly due to lack of practice. Next time a sit to write an essay or composition, I will take my time and employ the principles of free writing as advised by Wyrick (2010). References Neal, R. (2007).
